Are you referring to lift height?

Yes. I only got about 1" with the 600# springs. 650# got me to 1.5" to maybe 1.75" if my memory is correct. For sure for me the 600# springs were a disappointment.

Installing new deavers stage 1 and 6112 on setting 10/8 on 2012 dclb.
    Should be 2.2 inch
How much if any will they settle?
Curious if I need to get two alignments

In that subject if alignment after a lift or after a little sagging. If I put a new leaf pack it and it raises my truck a little and I crank the front coilovers a little so the rake isn't to high. Would I NEED an alignment. I'm hoping the lift wouldn't even be a full inch.

Anytime you change the geometry of your front end, you "need" an alignment, as things will be off from what they were. An alignment is cheaper than smoking a set of tires, but that's just my opinion.

I’ve got a set still in the box in my garage gathering dust. Been sitting there for 2 years or so and I don’t think I’ll need em. Where are you located?

What is the expectation for downtravel with a 2.25 lift(10/8) setting with a 600lb spring on a 2nd Gen.
Also when i measure do you drive it around, stop, measure, jack it up and measure again?Seems simple but wanted to ask.

Well your truck has about 3.5" total downtravel from factory, which is limited by the OEM shock. Lift comes at the cost of downtravel. 2.25" lift means you are left with about 1.25" downtravel. However, you may get more than that with the 6112s since they are technically an extended travel shock. I believe they are 0.5" longer which will allow for 1" of additional wheel travel. But only if your UCA and axles allow that extra droop. Alignment plays a role in that too. So somewhere around 2.0" max downtravel I'd say.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_68Hc8GtLko Kai does a good job explaining the limitations of the Toyota IFS range of motion here. Start at 6:00.

To measure, just start with the truck on the ground, get a tire to fender or ground to fender baseline measurement. Then jack it up until the tire just starts to lose contact with the ground. Then measure again the same way and subtract the first number to get your total droop. You shouldn't need to drive it around at all between measurements.

    Fantastic info,I appreciate it.
I have had a ton of fun lifting this and learning some new things.
Looks like i have about 1.5-1.75 but will measure one more time.

Alrighty fellas, I need guidance and wisdom in the way of 6112’s.

I’ve got a 2008 access cab with the 4.0, 4x4, ARB Deluxe front, Badlands 12,000lb winch in front, and 4xInnovations high clearance rear bumper without a tire swing out on the rear. My current suspension is a home brew of 5100’s all around, OME 885’s (I think, can’t quite remember which ones I got), Deaver AAL and TSB leaf pack, and SPC UCA’s.

The 5100’s up front seem to not enjoy the extra weight of the bumper and winch, which I put on after the suspension and I am getting some pretty concerning noises up front.

Going to order a 6112/5160 combo with the 650lb coils, and will utilize the current leaf spring setup I have now. My question is… with all the weight I’ve got up front, what “circlip” assembly should I select when I’m ordering?

    Thanks in advance!

Not sure I can 100% answer this definitively, but I'll give my opinion. Note I have no experience with the 5100's or the OME 885 springs. I assume you have the 5100's that DO NOT have similar circlip settings like the 6112s? That is my assumption and all of your lift is from the OME 885 springs.

From what I read doing a search, most people get between a 2" and 2.5" lift with those springs. So I would ask is that what you got? Your truck looks pretty level in that pic so I assume you want to replicate it?

I am not sure you will able to, to be honest. Reading the 6112 circlip specs, the most you can get is 1.8" using settings 10/8 (the specs say not to use 11/9 on an access cab - at least the doc I have says that). In theory, the 650# springs give you another 0.5" if my memory is correct at STOCK weight. You have extra weight as noted so the intent of the 650# springs for you is to get the original advertise lift with the 10/8 settings. They aren't going to give you more.

For full disclosure and what I am basing my input on, I have a 2021 DCLB TRD Offroad. I got 1.5" up front with the setup below with not much added weight up-front. Per Billsteing specs I should have gotten nearly 2" but I didn't. My mechanic and I question if something was wrong with where the circlip notches were cut as I got them when they first went to that from the previous 5 (I think) settings.
    • 6112s at 9/7
    • 650# springs
    • Very little weight added up front - Aluminum skid plate and cat shield, Rock sliders that should be pretty evenly distributed front and back
    • 1.5" lift up front was my experience
You could also call Bilstein and get their input. Originally with the 600# springs I only got 1". I called them, they were stupified as well and said I should have gotten closer to 1.4". Rather than trying to explain it I just got the 650# springs.

And I know you arent't asking, but the Icon RXT leaf pack is an awesome upgrade. I did option 2 and got 2.5" in the back and it has not sagged at all in nearly 2.5 years with a shell on the back. Loaded up for camping I still have a small amount of rake so I'd say it sags maybe 0.5" down to 2".

PS - dig the basic look of the rims!

Looking to upgrade to the 6112 from Shocksurplus and wondering what clip setting I should order. Looking for 1.5"-1.7" of lift. Will be doing add a leaf for now.

    Experiences with 7/9 vs 8/10 on a 2022 DCLB.

    Thanks!
