I’m probably going to ditch the supercharger, just never had time to take it off. I hope the engine is still good.

 

Strange because I was chasing a really bad misfire two or so years ago. I changed everything. Plugs, wires, and coils. Turns out it wasn’t any of that.

It was the pink 01-04 fuel injectors that came with the SC. I put the brown stock ones back and it was fine until now.

 

I was gonna say, I can register it here in PA, but it’s even stricter than California.

 

I lived in California my entire life, it was 70 degrees when I left San Francisco.

Waking up to -5 the next day was definitely a rude awakening.

Definitely a shock difference. I'm not as familiar with that part of the state as I am with the eastern parts.
As far as using your truck, if you get it fixed, I'm sure there are plenty of resources online for OH, PA and WV near you. I know Allegheny National Forest is a couple hours from Pittsburgh which apparently is a good drive and offers some trails and dispersed camping. Monongahela is probably 3-4 hours from you. Some of my favorite roads are in the rural parts of eastern PA.
What is cool is that Pittsburgh is within a day trip of a lot of places. How long are you there? Or open-ended?

 

I knew this was like ground zero for the rust belt, so I didn’t want to subject my poor truck to an eastern winter. I bought a 2002 Sequoia I’m driving while I’m out here.

I treated the inside of the frame rails, rockers, and doglegs with 3M cavity wax and the rest of the undercarriage with fluid film.

I’m here for roughly two years, I’m doing my apprenticeship to be a broadcast engineer for television.

 

Well then it might not be that, but I would pull the plugs regardless to see if they can tell you what is going on.

 

At least now you can cheer for the Penguins instead of the Sharks, they’re a marginally better team

 

I got a highland cow picture from target as a joke because my wife wanted stuff on the walls. Now its just turned into a thing and we have multiple highland cow paintings n the house lol.

Haha I went to a Penguins game when I was looking for apartments in November. I looked at the guy next to me and was like “what’s that weird sound, is that what fans sound like?”

 

I’ll have my buddy do a compression test on it, it's gonna be a sad day if I burnt a valve or something. I have no idea when I'll get to come home again.

 

yeah they haven’t been so good in recent years but have 3 Cups in the last 20, most recently 2017. Their stars are aging out though and they are in rebuilding mode

It is certainly odd working a regular 9-5 job for the first time in my life after freelancing for so long.
