Do any of you guys know of a "swing out" style body hinge I can buy for this?

This is the rear inside of the body, and I'm thinking of using the frame rails there for mounting something.

    20250125_210235.jpg

Wanting to keep the weight to a minimum, and the only setup I've found is a "bumper" setup made for the Axial.

This would allow me to flip the body up, and keep me from needing to use magnets.

A piece of lexan folded over the chassis rail butwide enough for the deadbolt mount should be easy to fab up and create easily. Don't need the bumper if you have some tube or get crafty with pleats cut to hold the screw.

60 beadlock ring screws later and I changed my tire inserts :bananadead:
Ordered some 50mm shocks for the rear. Went to sand the fj body to prep for paint and the cheap 3d print decided to break so looks like I'm going with the boss truck body. Just waiting on 1 more can of paint and we'll be in business. Still no word on when my nsdrc servo will ship. Been running a factory ascent18 servo to play around with.

@odomandr if anything is binding its the front driveshaft. I think it's still a tad too long. Have a shorter shaft coming in Monday

Interesting length on the rear shock, any particular reason?

I see some comp rigs run longer shocks, but then run limit straps whereas others run short front and rear shocks.

Can't wait until I'm up and running to experiment.

You know you're gonna have to post pics when you're painting that body!

Placed my order on a Palm Power battery and charger :spending:

Only bought one battery though as I want to toy with 2S and see if I want another 2S at a larger or smaller capacity, and maybe even 3S.

Everyone seems to shit on flexy trucks in the comp scene but as mine sits with these shorter shocks it's super tippy. I feel like if I could keep the ass planted it'll help. I plan on strapping the rear and I already have the front strapped to prevent the suspension from unloading. My ascent has all the flex in the world and she stays right side up and has made it through and up some pretty crazy shit.

The LGRP long travel shocks were on the list before I even bought the Injora's.

Figured I could learn along the way and see what'll work best.

    Yep

I'll be interested to hear your results, I mean you already do it on the Ascent but these rigs are purpose built

We got weight down low and everything

This doesn't even include once we take these things out - I'll either get people wanting to criticize or having people ask a bunch of questions once it hits the local course

    Like @Deathbysnusnu said

They're gonna be all scratched, muddy, and all sorts of ugly once he gets his build done

Yeah some of them are, your front right tire (front view) should go on the other side

    @Strictlytoyz

I realized some RC tires were directional when I got those Injora's for my FCX18. I put one of them on backwards too

The Trail Kings look that way too but I honestly don't know which way to turn them because you'll either have two with backwards facing threads, or the center would look weird

I may actually have the left side here backwards but haven't bothered to fix it :anonymous:

Things are moving again, motor parts are on the way and should be here this week!
Axles went from Vegas to Texas, USPS still does not have possession. OSM Worldwide is taking them a tour. Now they are within 12 hours for me to drive and pick them up. :D

Non-directional tires for the OCD are what I'm about. :headbang:

Remind me again about the servo?

Were you buying a special edition?
