When it comes to the speakers im starting to think there’s wiring loose somewhere in the door harness or somewhere close, as the speakers don’t crackle when just sitting, and only start doing it once im moving so it could just be wires jostling around.

i think it is telling you to recharge it. is this well at rest (ie all systems are sleeping - takes a while after stopping truck)?
i think the numbers mean it is a healthy battery but is drained. and 12.02 VDC is low. should be around 12.30 at least.
unless you know more about the numbers you have, i suggest you measure at rest parasitic drain (referred to in earlier post by me with link).
nota bene: no battery expert here but not clueless (i like to think :))

for grins i went out and measured mine.
first: on a battery disconnected that i use on a GMC van. it is quite old but use has been minimal last few years. 12.30VDC. last charged this summer.
    I am pleased with that.

second: on my tacoma (2018 original battery is 6.5+ yrs old) 12.03VDC and i believe it is on its last legs. last used a couple days ago.
hoping to squeeze thru mild winter with it (i have boost pack just incase) before replacing before next winter.

That was at rest completely cold, haven't driven today, my tester indicates me to turn my lights on, keep them on for x amount of time then turn it off. my last battery was in the 10s doing the same test.

i think the battery is fine. this forum just loves to throw other people's money at non-existent problems.

in another thread, instead of admitting to being wrong, one guy is trying to convince me that my truck is defective because i said the traction control light comes on in conditions that he hasn't been able to replicate.

temperature where you are may account for some voltage drop but it should still be higher.
you could charge it, disconnect it for a day and measure it. a parasitic measurement will tell you if truck is draining it or not.

btw: i really like the above LCD slow to react theory posted above. does the problem occur when the entire truck is warmed up, including cabin?

yes ignore those claiming new battery is bad without any info. gather more info before squinting at a new battery.

Honestly i tend to just notice it whenever, haven't really put a theory to it but i now think the screens must just be the cold, because we've had some major drops by about -15c from just below freezing hitting the -20s. Looking at your page you sent, the numbers are almost similar with our temps as of late. I've also gotten into the habit of turning my lights off fully when getting out so they aren't sitting there running for x amount of time. I'll do another test in the morning to see how the numbers may differ if any. Especially after use as the truck wasn't used for about 2 days or longer before that test.

Edit: I'll have to pick up a multimeter to test the drainage because I conveniently don't own one, never had a use for it.

Mines on almost all day with how my town is with the plowing, if its not the main st of the tiny town, you're sliding rear end out on every corner, or just spinning going straight in all the slush and ice. If someone told me something is off because of that i'd start to think the earth might be cone shaped.

you're also hyper-aware of everything with the truck because of how aware you are of the warranty expiring.

if it's a concern, i suspect buying an additional add-on warranty will fix your piece-of-mind far faster than altering any component on the truck.

It was the addon warranty :(:( dealer shafted me as a first time buyer lmao, I bought it used.

Edit: I highly regret not wanting a colorado or something new that's domestic, because id have an actual warranty, and the same payment's.

    Every vehicle has it's downsides.

Case in point. If you really want the new colorado, you can still sell your Tacoma for pretty much what you paid.

Domestic vehicles don't have that kind of resale power

Only problem with that is the negative equity would be about 5k sadly. I'd do it if i could.

Yeah idk about mine, i found out i got very unlucky and got the year just before all these tech updates, even though the lady at the dealer showed me 2020 model spec sheet without me knowing. I just assumed it was all correct because i was so blindsided and wanted it badly.

Depends on what you buy and may be hit or miss. I love mine and it’s dead on when compared to a DMM measurement at the battery. If you buy one and it’s off compared to a meter at the battery just note the difference and remember it and you’re good to go.

lol. i didn't say i don't use them myself..
i measure against a good meter and write +0.2, -0.3, etc on a label and stick on the toy.
i do find them relatively, not absolutely, good for monitoring alternator output.
i had one once that had green/yellow/red LEDs to make it obvious if a problem. then it broke.
OP does want to know absolute numbers, though, for his debug.

my canadian-spec '18 had that as an option until i removed the head unit.

it's called the 'follow me home' feature most times for the time the head lights stay on after the ignition cuts off.

Try this: From the radio head Press Menu, Press Setup, arrow down to and Press Vehicle, Press Vehicle Customization, Press Light Settings, on “Headlights Auto-off Timer” select Off. Home. YRMV

yeah i think i remember it being there, just dont tend to click around much other then my maintenance section. Would love to get a new HU at some point but money for upgrades is tight unfortunately. I plan to go half way across the country in this thing and i want it to be perfect, ready and comfortable. Looking at these fabled seat risers seeing as the seats hurt
