    Hi.
Someone know the canbus type for a Tacoma TRD Prerunner 2013. To choose the correct one and solve the issue from the radio settings knob button. I made a factory default and now my radio tuner knob just rise or lower the temperature.

    Thanks,

If I change the radio station in the knob, the temperature rise or decrease depending the rotation of the button.

Is that unit doing CANBUS injection for feature control?

Do the HVAC controls even run over CANBUS in these trucks?

    I understand that part.
But we’d need to know how the radio pinout and how you have it wired currently.

    No. They are not.
That’s why I say, how did he even manage to get it to do that.
Best I recall, is a resistance based system.

If it has the reset button on the lower front left just get a paperclip and press that to rest the unit if your not sure what you did and how to fix it.

QCM6125 is a part number for a Qualcomm processor. I looked at the Phoenix automotive website and found two models with multiple options having that processor. There is zero documentation available other than some Youtube videos, which are for an older version of the product. Their descriptions specifically say:
    • Automatically load correct software. No need to set car type.
When you installed this unit, did you splice anything, or did you use the factory adapters and harnesses?

I'm betting the issue is internal to the unit, either soft or hard. It looks like it replaces the factory A/C controls with the ones built into the unit. A lot of these Chinese Android units are 'universal' and vary only with regards to the supplied bezels, and there is internal sw/fw to control the outputs of the knobs and touch buttons.
