2023 Taco: LDA stays off, PCS stays on with last sensitivity setting (one bar for me), cruise control stays on with last sensitivity setting, park alert is a button, BSM stays on, stability/traction comes on with each engine restart. I wear a seat belt but I don't work a ranch/farm. I'm OK with all of this, except I would probably disable PCS permanently if I could; as is, I don't like the light on my dash.

Reading through the first page...I see repliers actually like TSS.

    I'm not bothered by it.

It's a feature I've adjusted my driving to.

Definitely would not want to disable mine completely but if the demand is there...more power to those who go through it.

Yea I don’t really get it myself. I set the sensitivity to 3 bars and have only ever seen the warning 1 time in 4 years.
I didn’t even know the truck could brake until I read a post here with someone raving about how unsafe it is for a vehicle to brake for you…
I always want to say something shitty about following distance or eye-lead time, but keep my comments to myself.
    Usually:rolleyes:

That was stupid to add the wireless charging pad, when not all phones are able to be charged wirelessly, and it also requires the case to be taken off, which is stupid!~

I've experienced the braking at Hwy speeds with 3 bars.

Now, I drop it to 1 bar and don't get the startling auto braking on cruise control. (DRCC)

A lot of times I catch myself from posting/typing my real thoughts...for obvious reasons. lol

I'm comfortable utilizing the Safety Features on my Sport.

Yes, been all good for me once I understood it's features and limitations. Besides, in my jurisdiction, they offer an insurance discount for that.

Many features seem to be disliked...Ive noticed on TW.

Remote start being one that some find pointless...as well as the other safety features that autostart & require deactivation every ignition.

There's even a method to wipe out those safety features forever!

I'm like you...in understanding the features and limitations.

The pre-collision nanny is not that intrusive in my 21 OR, unlike a Honda I had that would drop anchor at the slightest provocation. Emergency braking has activated on this truck once when I legit ran up on somebody stopped short and didn't see. I do have the sensitivity set at the lowest level.

It saved my tail once and scared the living sheet out of me. I had just gotten the truck and didn't know it existed. Needless to say, I was glad to have it and don't mind it.

Had the dealership turn off the seatbelt alarm for my passenger seat, my dog likes to go back and forth. Still get the flashing light on the dash but the chime being silenced is golden.

How do you use parking assist? I have the off road but never knew there was such a thing. (I'm old and not a tech type)

It’s not the fancy automatic park assist that you’re thinking. There’s a button to the very right of your front console that looks like a revere P. Click that and when you’re backing up, it’s gonna beep if you’re getting close to an object. Haven’t used that and the BSM (deleted) years ago since I’ve got a swingout and a steel rear bumper.

Do it your self. (labor) Start with something easy. Watch multiple install videos and extrapolate what you like from each one for your own install. "case in point" Recently installed 2" front coil springs with Bilstein 5100 shocks, without a spring compressor.. some of the install videos show taking all kinds of stuff off in order to install. The one from Team Oil Drop loosens 2 bolts and removes 3 bolts for their install. used a floor jack to compress the spring. Easy Breezy. Case in point, dont be afraid to try. Ive spent around $10,000 on mods but not a penny for labor. Thanks to this forum and U-Tube, I received all the info I needed to feel comfortable. Disclaimer: MY ball and chain was not happy about the $10K so I didnt dare ask for labor $'s :)
I gaurantee, you will make a few mistakes, but nothing you cnat fix or live with...and the satisfaction knowing you did it yourself is priceless.....................good luck

I haven’t used the Parking Assist but I keep BSM on all the time. BSM peeps when there is something behind you when in reverse. So it sounds like Parking Assist does the same thing. I’m confused on the difference of the two. BSM has saved my bacon a couple of times from getting a fender bender.

BSM is responsible for rear cross traffic alert, like vehicles coming up behind you while backing out of a parking spot. Park assist beeps about stationary objects but uses the same tone. I believe anyway… Could be wrong

I leave it engaged, but only beepswhen I'm backing out of the garage, never pulling in so I'm confused about the whole feature.
