You can grind stuff in the food processor too if you don't want more stuffs..
Don't overload the bowl
Chop the meat into stew size chunks and put them in the freezer for 30 min first so they firm up
Small batches and a few pulses does the trick

Let me just repeat here what I've said before.
I grew up on a farm where we had to kill a critter and butcher it if we wanted meat.
Farm folk cook meat thoroughly... for reasons.

Farms are dirty places.
Critters are dirty.
Butchering them is an unpleasant business.

Perfect! That's a way better idea and I do have a neglected food processor that needs a job.

 

Think I learned to butcher about the same time I learned to ride a bike. Anything to get off the sausage press crankin’ detail.

 

I'll add this - doing it on a farm for yourself is one thing, you know how it was handled yada yada..
I have seen how it is done in the 'best possible' small scale commercial way - this is definitely not pleasant but hygienically not too bad
But the thought of how this scales up to a large scale commercial shit, makes me wanna puke!!
That chicken plant in town -vomit- if the wind is blowing the wrong way and I smell it - I won't eat chicken for a few months at least

 

Lived in a place once until they built an alfalfa dehydrator upwind. Glad I unloaded that place before it started up.
