By rule if the ball doesn’t move when it hits the ground that indicates the player had possession and the ground did not assist in the catch. You can argue possession but the ground touch doesn’t matter.

When you ‘break the bank’ on signing 2 guys… Dak and CeeDee, you can’t afford anyone else.

    Totally Agree.

I was expecting the same from the Bills but it's really difficult to accomplish such a feat.

Early odds have the chiefs. Should be a great matchup. I got the chiefs winning, even though I don’t want them to. That’s just the sad reality, and we’re all gonna see that it’s inevitable.

Turnovers will be key. KC last night was the only post season victor this year that was negative on TO ratio (1-0). And that one was a 10-14 pt swing in a 3 point win. Take out the Texans/Chargers (Tex won 4-3 on turnovers) and in the other 10 games the winners to losers TO count was 21-0!

I know this is trash talk, but honestly, what’s your officiating take. There were a few minor misses (on each side) but I think there were only 2 significant controversies. The Worthy catch and the missed 4th and 1. Both stood in replay (not confirmed, not overruled.. just not enough evidence). I agree on that. But from an original call perspective I think 1 of the 2 should have gone the Bills way. If the benefit of the doubt goes to Worthy than the same should go to Allen. Now they still have to score and then stop KC, and if the score is a FG still win in OT. But who knows.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I think KC got some calls that could have gone either way. That is how it is though. Look at the calls MJ used to get. KC and PM earned his spot at the top and the league is always going to protect that asset. The Bills knew going in that they had to beat them. They had plenty of opportunity to not leave any doubt. I think the perspective of the zebras is that they do not want to be the reason KC does not make history. Due to that they lean a little to that side. Not on purpose but to the winner go the spoils and the Chiefs have been winning for a while. PM has learned that he can flop and get calls and he does try and take advantage of his situation but I suspect that any of us would do the same. How many times did a ref give MJ a call that he did not see just because he asked for it. It does not make it right but it is the nature of all sports. It was the same for TB back in the day. Even Peyton a lot of the time. Every receiver gets up asking for a flag after an incompletion. Truth be told someone could get called for something on every play. Does KC get favorable calls, sure. The league is going to protect that image and if you want to beat them you have to leave no doubt.
I think more of what we are seeing is just how unique #15 is at playing his position. He knows the rulebook and plays to maximize the benefit of how he can exploit it. Josh A either slides early or goes headfirst and takes the punishment. PM knows per the way the rule is written that he can slide late and probably tack on another 15 yards. He has defenders so in their own heads with the pump fakes and crazy throws and calls he gets that they hesitate and he punishes you for it. Is it frustrating for anyone who is not a KC fan. Sure, but it is just another manner that #15 is simply just better at the position than most everyone else. Per the letter of the rule book. Even the flopping, that is something that is coached. It is coached and he does it because it gives them an advantage. One that could turn the tide of a game. Though it is frustrating as hell, if it works. Well, it is an advantage and you don't win as much as KC does without exploiting every possible advantage.

It was a decently called/ref'd game...nothing too obviously flagrant.

They earned that win, in my opinion.

I'm sure you let these comments roll off your back but they keep coming! lol

I'll be enjoying the game in two weeks...then football season will be over.

I'd like to see a 3-peat and chances are they will pull it off.

Both teams can upset one another...it will boil down to:

    who makes fewest mental mistakes
who keeps their poise during turbulent situations
who shows that they want it more
Very generic statements but things we all will notice.

Saying that re Mahomes being the best, where would you place TFB on your list?

I've long said if anyone in the game now can rival Brady when all is said and done at the position it has to be Patrick.

Part of me says anyone but KC..and as a Pats fan I'm seeing why people hated us when we won for so long too. Like to see Saquon get one.

Other part says a 3 peat is historic in the league.

As of right now Brady is the best ever but I can see Mahomes, by the end of his career surplanting Brady. He does things on the field Brady never did and is a far more mobile QB. Even if Mahomes doesn’t get 7 SB wins it will be a discussion to be had. Just my opinion…

GOAT? No matter what Mahomes does he and Brady will be a Michael Jordan vs LeBron argument. People firmly in each camp with a few Kobe’s thrown in and an old timer saying Bill Russel. In this case that’s probably a Joe Montana vote.

Patrick at age 29 already has the 2nd most career playoff victories in history. Yet he is just getting to 1/2 what Tom has. Tom took great care of his health and had incredible longevity. Patrick already said he doesn’t plan on playing as many years as TB12 did.

And then there is the fact Patrick’s 17-3 playoff record includes 0-2 against Tom.

The one playoff stat to give some credit to Patrick is this. Career postseason passer rating (per pro-football-reference .com)
    Patrick 105.8, #2 all time
    Tom 89.8, #23 all time

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I can agree with that. Especially since it's a different game now than it was 10 years ago.

Absolutely. I think the Cornhusker’s 1995 season is one of the best college teams ever “for their era”. They beat 4 teams that finished in the Top 9 that were a combined 39-0 against other teams, and beat them by an average of 30 points. Yet I think half of this years 12 playoff teams would beat them.

If you can count TB and Patrick as different eras despite the 4 year overlap, they both are GOAT material.

There is also a distinction between ‘great’ and ‘successful’. Best QB example is Dan Marino.
