condensation in the oil is all it is

when cold out, it condenses in the cap

    Normal.
    Nothing to worry about.

Screw the cap back on and don't come back to this thread.
    It's fine.

Yes, the white stuff is an emulsion of oil and water

Many threads on here have, as their focus, your same findings.

The resolution is to get the engine to operating temperature, especially during the cold months, and to avoid short distance driving.
Clean the cap with some brake clean, change the oil, and follow the recipe.

The milky looking stuff is normal condensation especially in cold weather, the brown crusty stuff suggests the PO may have been neglecting oil changes and/or using shitty oil.

    It's all good.
The issue is, there are people that don't know any better, and will say "it's not normal".
And that's the information that causes confusion, and makes people worry. (Like you)

That's why I said, "don't come back to this thread".
Confusion typically results as the thread progresses.

    You are just fine.
    The truck is acting normal.

Clean out the sludge the best you can with a rag and next time you take the truck on an extended drive (preferably a round trip at highway speeds for 30 mins or so) remove the cap and check it: The moisture/sludge should be reduced/diminished or gone.
