Im looking to replace my boring factory bumper on my 2nd gen tacoma. I prefer a lightweight one, ideally close to the weight of the factory bumper. Thanks!

What type of bumper are you looking for? Racing? Light off roading? Heavy rock bashing off reading? Light or heavy mall crawling? Other?
Do you want to add a winch or lights?

Im trying to replace my factory rear bumper. Id say light off roading or overlanding, as i dont plan to use this truck for heavy off roading or anything of that. It's mostly for looks, and which is why I prefer a lightweight rear bumper.

Id find a shop that's most local to you and save on freight that way. Rear bumpers dont add much weight at all.

I build these out of NH and they add a measly 6 lbs after you account for the removed stock components.

As for weight, the low profile rear bumper doesnt really have much of an advantage over tube bumpers with a high clearance design because most of the low profile bumpers require the stock components (Hitch receiver) to be installed.
On the other hand, high clearance design rear bumpers they can be installed by removing the hitch receiver, which helps reduces some of the weight.

The AllPro can be run with or without a receiver hitch made for the bumper to save more weight if you dont need one. The stock hitch gets removed

This is exactly the type of rear bumper that Im looking for-one that mounts directly to the factory tow hitch receiver as the AllPro. However, Id love to see other manufacturers with a similar mount design at a more affordable price.

A slim metal especially aluminum will be light.

the stock bumper and hitch is not a feather. Steel HC adds minimal weight.

the best true answer is probably an HC with swingout(s) because then you add
    1. Places to carry things
    2. Multiple angle crash and off road protection. Multiple angle off road clearance improvement.
