My initial thought is a wiring issue, but is it possible there's an easier fix than chasing down wires? The bulb has to be fine if it illuminates whenever the brake light is applied, unless there's two different bulbs for the brake lights... right?

I just got my windshield replaced, is it possible something was bumped while that was being done?

I can’t remember or not but it may be a dual filament bulb. Hence why it would work for brake but not running light. Should only be a bulb change.

It's the bulb. It has 2 filaments, one for parking illumination the other is stop.

7443/7444 is a dual filament bulb. One of your filaments burned out, that is all. Change and carry on.
