You got C10 wheelbase links but ended up with a C-Bolt wheelbase length?

I'd use my nice dial calipers but it only measures in American

The angle skid is going to be effective most on break over i believe. If the weight bias isn't forward enough it may not matter though

I did, center to center on axle. I'll check again after it's back together.
Injora links, so they may be different. I'll take a measurement of the lower links to compare.
When I was doing a mock up estimate with the Deadbolt rears, it was around 135mm. It just seemed like a really short and square wheelbase, so I made the decision to go full C10.

I was surprised to find a nice thick coat of blue, tacky grease on the gears.
They came with a 16t gear for the rear, which I'll leave out for now, because OCD me wants the same grease back in there.

Have to say, when you posted your pics I was like man that looks good!

It wasn't until I saw the reinforced axle housing that I remembered you went with the Nylon set. Looking legit for sure! I too left out the underdrive gear as I want to learn from "stock" before I tweak shit.

When do you expect your transmission?

Mount for tranny was on for Thursday, weather alert has left that so far unchanged, Maybe by the weekend at worst if the semi stays on the road.
Either way, I can run with the FCX mount, it does clear enough. But I'll stall on that because it's just currently lightly screwed together, no gear mesh, since I took it apart.

Measurements. Rounded of course since eyeballed.
    Injora C10/Deadbolt stainless links

    Not installed, just for reference.
    Bolt Rear
    Bottom-60mm
    Top-52mm

    Currently installed
    C10 Rear
    Bottom-70mm
    Top-62mm
    C10 Front
    Bottom-50mm
    Top-39mm

Bolt front, really short and as of yet unassembled.

Didn't hear back from LGRP today. Since I don't have orings or shims that small, instead of running a small thin oring on each side of the pinion I put 1 thick oring on the back side to preload the pinion gear. Seems to have gotten rid of the binding and the truck is drivable again

145mm fully compressed, 141mm fully drooped.

The 10 degree skid did nothing for the front shaft, still ended up trimming a 1/4" off the ends.
Might put 15 degree skid back, just to try if nothing else. Driveshaft angles definitely improved.
In this pic, full compression, and only 1/8" trim.

tried to reprogram the ESC to 8.4v, won't do it with a 2s battery.:tinfoilhat:
6.4 seems to pack plenty punch for turning them big ol wheels.

That's just an FMS body I threw on there for grins. :D It does look pretty good, just a tad short in the WB. A little trimming might make it work out.

Maaaaan, those Sam's Club paper plates come in clutch for all sorts of shit

Even used one to stuff a dead tarantula :anonymous:

Looks like you're doing it exactly right! I remember one part of the video where the truck looked exactly like yours does now. You gonna do a rusted hood, or door?

Multipurpose paper plates lol. Happy with how it's looking thus far! Undecided on if I want to leave a full panel exposed or not. At first I was gonna make the hood black but now that I see it like this I don't know...

That's a bummer. Are the fires holding it up?
My order should be here tomorrow for the motor mount.
I usually order from the Chico Amain, this one came from N. Carolina.

Naw, fires are down south as LA is some 4 hours south of me

Sac is about 3 hours north west and stuff has been "moving to the next destination" from there for +2 days now

But yeah it shipped from Chico and got to Sac right away, it's just leaving from there that's the issue
