Your instructor provided a simple minded, cliche ridden response to a multifaceted problem. Terminal illness with unrelenting pain is only one example of where they are wrong. It’s not a temporary problem, nor is terminal mental decline (Alzheimer’s et al ). That kind of response aggravates the pain of survivors, obfuscates the pain of the victim and offers no sense of compassion for all involved.

so last nite I used some tools...mapp gas torch, tongs, grate grippers, wire brush, thermometer, knife, fork, and I came up with these...

Little surface grinding this morning on a couple pump housings while tapping holes on one of those large parts.
