I'll unfortunately be staying home tonight. Why the hell I decided to finish a degree while working 50-60 hours a week is beyond me. :bananadead:

Would skip the gym, but I like beer and my sanity a bit too much to let that go. :militarypress:Have fun!

I really need to get back in the gym. Haven't been since moving here. I'm scared of how weak I've become and need to get back to this.....

A reminder that this was a compliment @Supr4Lo - don't let the dysmorphia consume you :muscleflexing:

But for real, didn't realize that you didn't need a jack for a trail repair.

To give you guys a glimpse into why I said what I said. The Power Wagon has radius arms that have large rubber bushings at the axle end which deflect A LOT during weighted articulation. The arms are specific to the Power Wagon, different from all the other Ram models. This allows the axle to roll forward and backward(decreased and increased caster) as the suspension cycles. There is no way to mimic this behavior without actually having the full weight of the vehicle in use. Here are some pictures that show a little bit. I wish I could find a video of it in action. The result is substantially more articulation as compared to non-Power Wagon control arms on Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks.

Stock arms in a neutral or ride height situation
    articulink.jpg

Close up of the lower bushing deflection under flex. The upper can flex just as much and these are huge bushings, 3 and 4 inches in diameter. We're talking over an inch of deflection per bushing. That equates to a lot of movement that cant be mimicked, especially with the "remove the spring" standard of testing articulation.

You know, I was wondering why my suggestion wouldn’t work for you, since I did that on my tacoma and it worked great, but I didn’t feel like engaging any further if I’m being honest. Not being a tacoma makes a whole lot more sense now. Wish I had a suggestion for you.

That looks like something you'd need a dedicated R&D rig for... Push out that bushing and replace it with some kind of misalignment spacer and eccentric bolt and do the standard spring-less cycling but with the added step of spinning that misalignment spacer a full 360 at each measurement point to capture all potential "max deflection" states of the bushing.

Google earth some industrial complex's. Lots of stunt riders go to the parking lots after 5 to practice. There has to be a loading dock close to you somewhere.

    Hey guys,
Just looking for some relatively easy to medium trail recommendations. Was going to try to squeeze in a camping night but might just do a day of trails.
In in Central Phx but willing to go out a bit. any and all suggestions are appreciated.

You could go do Apache trail and report back. I dont think anyone has done it since it opened back up. I think its a pretty easy day drive. I could be wrong tho.

I did Apache trail maybe 2 months ago. It's a nice drive and 4WD is not needed. It was a fairly smooth dirt/gravel road

The trail on 4 peaks is an easy senic drive also. Again did not really need 4WD.

Bloody Basin Rd to Sheeps bridge is relatively easy but it is a long bumpy drive. But there is some good scenery along the way.

Box canyon down by Florance is a nice area also. Trails from easy to hard.

This book is a great reference for trails

Oh nice. I have only done it once many moons ago. Another good day trip for 2wd is the Roosevelt to young road.
Edit to say if you do want to do a weekend drive with camping you could link apache to the young road. And depending if you want to camp in the desert or the pines you could do either.

I’ve been looking at Box Canyon. Assuming it’ll be busy over the weekend but still could be fun. Do you know if you can camp down there too?
