Tacoma Trailhunter Fog lights fitted on the TRD Pro

Hey Everyone,

First time posted long time reader, I had a questions for you guys, I recently bought the trailer hunter fogs for the TRD Pro, they fit fine and the plug seems to plug right into the TRD Pro. I know the TH can change the fog light colors by pushing one of the AUX buttons in the car dose anyone know if there is any additional work to get it to work on the TRD pro, I can get the lights to work on the white LEDS but I have no idea how to wire it so that I can change the color to yellow like the TH.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

I'd like to see TH fogs work on all trucks that are equipped with fogs. Toyota went as far as they did with the lights, why not make it a viable accessory for all Tacomas?

 

Maybe someone with the system can chime in on how they switch color.

 

Try holding the fog light switch, it will change color to amber if its capable.

 

With some bench testing, color switches when reversing polarity PIN 1+6

 

Can’t figure PIN 3 and 4 yet

 

3 & 4 not used.

 

@Siblue do you have the part number for the Trailhunter switch in your photos? I thought it was PT45A-35240-TH but that got me the single lightbar switch from the Pro instead.

 

I found 7 and 12 to be white backlit illumination

 

Toyota really screwed up the PN translation.
PT45A-35240–PR is the Trailhunter switch

Had been one of my hopes, but on the Limited trims, the automatic step rails occupy the same dash spot and there are no unused doubles.

 

What is the part number for the TH fogs?

 

And if Taco has one it does not provide for the other:

You'd have to also add the LED light Illumination Center Module and activate "talk" to CAN-BUS System and a few wiring runs.
