They help, I have a pretty deep tub but still it’s right up against them.
I have adjustable hydro bumps up front, they’re set about 1/4” before the LCA crashes into the frame but no, that photo isn’t quite at full bump. I’ll probably need to adjust the bumps down a bit, or cut out more of the inner fender. I’ve cut out some since that photo was taken, especially in the front to allow full lock steering.

How do you like the hydro bumps with the solo arms? I've been wanting to do that at some point myself.

1" body lift helps too I bet. I'm assuming you haven't removed that...

They’re almost too good, if that makes sense haha. I can’t even feel them, even right down to max compression, but it’s smooth and controlled. They’re from Locked Offroad, not even high end kings or ADS
Still have the 1” taller body mounts, which yes probably helps with not getting into the inner fender as much. It doesn’t do much to help with firewall clearance though.

Sweet. Did you mess with the charge pressure at all? or run them straight out the box?

They came at really low pressure, like 50psi. I started with that but they bottomed out almost instantly so I added more pressure incrementally. I’m at 200psi currently, some places say that’s max pressure but some people report going all the way to 300.

With the nice spring-like weather, I did my annual clean and ceramic polish.
    upload_2025-1-29_16-1-47.jpg

I also relocated my shore-power-inlet to outside the cab.

    This will make plugging easier.

Copied from my build thread. Thought this was a cool little mod. My sawzall blew up while doing my frame repairs so I decided to clean up and do some interior stuff.

Ordered a couple of these mag safe charger mounts (one for each truck). Still waiting for them to get here so I ran the mag safe and put in a USB-C power supply.

New superduties have these dual USB outlets in them, which just so happen to fit almost perfectly in the original cigarette lighter hole, then wired it to the cig lighter wiring. I’m a big fan of clean accessory installs, especially when they look like they’re meant to be there. Super happy with this one. It’s the little things![IMG][IMG]

I did a little work on my Tacoma the last few weeks. Replaced the Bilstein's with ADS shocks. Replaced the lower control arms with BTF lower control arms. Replaced my lower ball joints and steering with Total Chaos. And installed my new wheels and tires.

What's the power output on those? I've never been a fan of permanent USB installs, mainly because they seem to need upgrading every 5 years. But we're getting close to where I wouldn't care, with 50-100W USB PD, so I could be convinced.

I have been trying to dig into that, but not much for numbers out there. I know in my superduty, my phone charges pretty fast hooked directly to usb c.

I think you can get testers to see the output? Maybe I’ll try one out

Atleast this is fully reversible, and can easily just put in a generic 12v outlet if need be.

    Hey question for yall:
Does the 2.7 auto with 4.56 diffs have enough torque to push 33”s comfortably? I know it will turn the tires, but I’m worried about tanking my already bad gas mileage and losing a huge amount of power. The tires I’m thinking of getting are 285/75/r16 Faulken Rubitrek 10plys.

Nice to see people supporting @nzbrock

Do those ADS shocks have both high and low speed adjustments?

I would go with 4.88's. Mine's a manual, but I'm glad I did that over the 4.56's. The 2.7L auto is a big power suck so additional gearing will help with heavy 33's.

I had an 86 truck as my first truck. My 96 tacoma was a MASSIVE upgrade. holy shit.

Loved the lil 86. But anything other than putting around town. No thanks.

No. Fox is the only one with that option I believe.

What do speed settings do exactly?

Here are some articles about resi adjusters.

Internals of a Fox DSC: https://accutuneoffroad.com/articles/fox-dsc-adjuster-assembly/
    How they work: https://accutuneoffroad.com/articles/how-fox-dsc-dual-speed-compression-adjusters-work/
    How King adjusters work: https://accutuneoffroad.com/articles/how-king-compression-adjusters-work/

Think about it in terms of shock shaft speeds. Low speed would be for things like body roll or speed bumps in a parking lot. High speed would affect things like washboard or where the shock is rapidly changing position.

I could be wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure the foxes have an adjuster to add compression dampening and one to adjust rebound dampening.

The speed being referred to is shock shaft speed, not vehicle speed.

If they are like my front ADSs, they can only adjust compression dampening.
