    Idk the best way.
Currently thinking of holding the Pelican vault to the bed bars by drilling 4 holes in the case and using some T-nuts.
    Screenshot_20250129_073818_Amazon Shopping.jpg
When case isn't being mounted, I can plug the holes with plastic screws.

For my Pelican Vault on the inside I used m6 pan head machine screws with 1" fender washers, and a piece of bike tire tube under the washer for water proofing. Mine is on a roof rack with track nuts but if I were you I would use washers and a lock nut.

I feel that it's better to have it and not use it, than needed it and not having it.
    That's my opinion.

    Hey!!!!
I was lucky that Rich didn't mark me up with a Sharpie.

I have a Apache (Harbor Freight) gun case for the roof rack. I have a 1inch aluminum strip that the bolts go through. I feel it helps spread the load if you have to come to fast stop.

Thanks. I was looking for some 2nd opinions before I go drilling holes in a brand new case. :D
I can get on board with bolts and washers. Already have those. Saw the T-nuts and thought it might work. I can see now how the bolts could loosen or be easier for thieves to remove...

Thought the same about a metal strip inside so all the load isn't on the bolt holes......Great minds......

It's how we secure ped-heads (the walk/don't walk signal boxes)

I got the Taco back today. Yesterday she went in for new coolant, new upper and lower radiator hoses and a new radiator.

Didn't know you had it in the shop.
What was wrong with the radiator?

*glad they put new coolant in and didn’t reuse the old stuff. :D

It developed a crack just below the upper hose.

    Booooo

Not too complicated though, thankfully it doesn't involve removing other parts

Those nuts you show are for wood,
what you should do is use riv-nuts in the bed bar & run the bolts from inside the box that way its theft proof.

I'll have to look into those riv nuts.

Tonight we had more important builds to tend to.

AI learning robot that the son won at his winter dance.
2 motors and gear boxes that needed to be timed. Tiny PC board....:smokertransformer:

I fear it will learn our ways and overrun the household.:D

The bed bars are slotted on top.
    After further review,
Not sure how the riv nuts would attach well, without drilling new holes.
    Screenshot_20250129_203543_Brave.jpg
I'd rather not put more holes in it.
