What inspired this build though was my local hobby store, here's a pic I found from their FB group -





They have another track but it's carpet racing out in the back (also indoor).

Competitions every Saturday, and last week's winner won a TRX4M (an 1:18 scale ready to run RC kit).

My crawler will adhere to Class II rules. Class I is basically stock with a few upgrades, and specific size tires. Class II allows custom chassis, slightly bigger tires, no limitations as far as servo, motor, etc but limited to 64mm tires. Class III opens it up even more with less rules about body (exo cage allowed) and even having 4-wheel steer.

Alright stock 318 dodge with an ebay dual plane intake, vacuum advance electronic distributor, gm hei module, and a new edelbrock avs2 carb, Mr gasket 5psi fuel pressure regulator, has fuel and has a new mechanical fuel pump

Base timing set to 13 degrees advanced, running ported vacuum

Why would it be dying when I floor it?

Something else about the truck if I have it fully choked it won't start... choke has to be halfway pulled

 

Going lean on throttle stab most likely

 

I could roll into it gently or stab it but it feels like it dies out as soon as the secondarys open

 

Good fuel flow to the carb? The bowls on those Carter AFB carb clones are small
