I've stopped by 2 different O'Reilly auto parts and they read mine free of charge. One even printed it out for me.

    Thanks for the advice!:fistbump:
Auto Zone with scan the code for free, but my code P0171 needed more troubleshooting details so I could solve it, and the code to be erased. Auto Zone wouldn’t allow me to take it home. :D

There’s no room to label the drawers on the tool box with all of the Jegs, Summit, Moon Eyes, Live Wires, etc stickers that are already on it.

A P0171 code in a Toyota indicates that the air-fuel ratio in the engine is too lean. This means that the engine is receiving too much air and not enough fuel.
    Causes

A faulty or dirty mass airflow (MAF) sensor
    A faulty oxygen (O2) sensor
A leaking or damaged intake manifold gasket
    Low fuel pressure
    Vacuum leaks
    Faulty fuel injectors

    Yep! :hattip:
With the scanner’s help, I was able to isolate it to a pinched o-ring on the sensor housing. Me>:smack:<Me

When I bought this VW the front tires were bald, since I was on vacation I ordered 2 off the web and took them to a local shop and ask the guy how much to change? He said $35. Fine, took him 15 minutes and I went home and put them on.

I ordered 2 more of the same ones for the back Saturday, they came yesterday. I drove it to the local tire shop near work and ask them to put them on. I didn't ask a price.

My mistake not asking, I almost pooped a chicken nugget when he told me how much........$74.90 :bananadead:

I said my goodness, out loud. None of the 3 guys at the counter flinched.

I understand they have a business to run but you ain't got to make it all off of one person.

I dropped my car off at 7:30 this morning, they called me at 8:01 and said it was ready :spending:

Yup. A 63 with a 200 straight six, high compression, lopey cam, and a triple carb Offenhauser intake. Mated to a T5 5speed.

    We like pictures!

Every old car has a story, how about this one?

The T5 must be a sweet combination with a light car/6 in a row smoothness & torque.
    :burnrubber:

I have *cough* a few old Fords myself. :anonymous:

The car weighs less than 2500lbs. So the T5 mated to the 200 is just right. Fast enough to turn on the reds and blues!

It’s a custom ground cam that the engine builder spec’d out. He used to build this engine class for dirt track midget cars way back in the day. It really gave it a lot more torque than stock.
