Battery cables are tight. Haven't checked the ground cables. @Dm93 i remember that I replaced the battery ground bolt with stainless a while ago. Could that cause issues? Its also been a long time with no issues, and then now all of a sudden?

i havent had time to do more digging yet. But im not good with a multimeter in general

Edit: truck hasnt burned down at my work parking lot..

go get an oem reman from the dealership

somewhat common for aftermarket remans to give up the ghost sooner than later

not saying for sure it is your problem, but it is well within the possibilities IMHO

I doubt it has anything to do with the ground bolt unless something is corroded.

One of the Toyota techs on here said modules start shutting down over 16v so it would make sense that your speedometer quit as the ABS module supplies vehicle speed.
Unless there's an issue on the S-Terminal there would be no reason for it to overcharge unless the regulator in the alternator is bad.

My drive home was uneventful. Scangauge said 13.6-14.2v and hit the same dips and bumps as the way in. The only thing that was different was temp. Mid 30s vs low 50s

    I hate electrical gremlins

Yea I like chasing electrical problems providing I have a wiring diagram but intermittent's are the worst.

P0157 triggers every drive. Sure glad I have my Scangauge semi-permanently mounted. Just waiting for some warmer days to swap in passenger downstream O2 sensor. Then i can start the pain of replacing the studs on the headers/exhaust, and gaskets

Lets also hope that the copper antiseize works for the future

I did not yet. I got a harbor freight protig 165 from a friend for super cheap so I went for it. I will eventually get a PW tig machine but this should hold me over and I can build some skill in the mean time.

I was tempted by those open box units but it is a bit of a haul from NH. I would not have any worries, the owners there are great dudes and they take care of their customers.

I just want them to be open on the weekend so I don't need to take a day off of work to pick up. It's about 3.5 hours from me one way

Unfortunately i havent. Work has been busy, and when I get home dont want to do anything. I also still need to buy a bottle of Argon. I have a couple of choices- buy from Primeweld for about $320 shipped for a 125cf (don't know where I can refill though) or buy an 80cf from a local place for $400 and then the next refill is ~$70. I know I could also try a fusion weld without the gas, to get a feel for things.

Plus I also need to figure out the tungsten sizes and filler rod sizes. I think since I have some thicker mild steel scraps, I can start with that.

I also have a medium sheet of 18 gauge stainless, and some smaller pieces of 1/8" 6061 aluminum.

It barely fits on my little cart, but I have another piece of wood that I can add to make a better footing. Rough start to the new hobby..

Local is expensive, jeez. I think my 80s are a couple hundred for the steel then $40 to swap. I go to maine oxy and they don't really care what you bring for a tank for the smaller sizes.

Fusion weld without gas - no can do. Itll be horrible and not really welding.

I use 3/32 red tungstens for steel and stainless. You can sharpen them to a steeper angle for thinner stuff. There is a slight radioactive concern so I got some LaYZr tungstens to try. Also 3/32.

Filler I have 1/8 and 1/16 and I much prefer the 1/16 for just about everything. Just works better for me while I am learning.

Aluminum you are on your own...

I am also just learning so this may not be 100% correct but It is working so far for me.
