I'm sure you're right. I've watched vids and it seems like it will be more than enough for how I'd use it. Just nice to get "real world" opinions. I've changed a tube with a 5 gallon bucket......just trying to get a little lazy with this one :D

Hey, I have no problem with talking him into a high strung bike as long as he lets me ride it :rofl::rofl:I will let him ride my xr80/100 if I ever find one. Also I can’t get either one of my kids on the pw50 :annoyed: My 5 year old is getting really good on the pedal bike though.

i took her to all the local dealers and said go look at the bikes and sit on them haha.

with her the xr150l is the lowest out of all the small dual sports plus a wider seat which she likes lol. she can flat foot it in converse so she feels confident on it and moving it around.

and the selling point (to her lol) is the baby rack on the back of the bike is adorable haha

We're really slow at work right now so that's leaving me a lot of time to plot rotes for the GLMC Grand Tour. I've been putting locations into Basecamp to later send to my GPS. Figure I'll take advantage of the "chips" bonus and I'm bookmarking Harley dealership that will yield 2 points due to their locations. Have them marked out in PA, MD. NJ, OH, VA, and WV so far and located bars and restaurants in nearby towns.

Just need March 1 to get here and some nicer weather.

Every now and then I check online listings for an XR400. The going price up here seems to be about 14 dollars a pound. The days of bargain barn finds of older Honda iron is long gone.

My neighbor had one of the HF changers similar to that and I used it once to mount FJR tires. They're functional but it left me unimpressed TBH. I know there are mods you can make to them that can improve ease of use. I bought a Nomar during Covid when they were offering really good deals to keep folks working and it's a much easier to use unit for me. Check Craigslist or FB Marketplace and maybe you can pick up a better unit like the Nomar. The vintage bike show and swap meet I attended a couple weeks ago I saw a used Nomar with extras and some tools for $350 and if I didn't already have mine I would have grabbed that for sure.

Another option is that if you have nearby friends that ride maybe you can team up and buy a better unit that you can share? Or buy it yourself and charge them a small fee for use until you've paid it off. I've done around 10-12 sets of tires since 2020 so I've gotten my money's worth. Put the word out that you have a tire changer and you'll have friends you hadn't met before.

I have the original HF balancer (before it was discontinued). Its been great, I spoon on all my tires with 3 tire spoons without issues, bead breaker is a 4ft 2x4 as a lever and using the trucks weight.

after quite the drive yesterday, i was able to tuck this beauty away in my garage. need to replace at least one of the caster wheels, I'm thinking I replace all 3 just to give it a little refresh.

Got my sheepskin seat pad in today. Not everybody’s cup of coffee I’m sure, but I dig it.
