Neither did I until I started leaving my golf clubs back there. Then I decided $100 for the auto tailgate lock was much better than replacing stolen clubs.

Purchased aftermarket 2110 key fob, mini vci usb obdii cable, downloaded and installed tech stream, somehow got the drivers to work, programmed the key, cut the fob silicone membrane to fit a meso custom trd red v2 fob. Will get the key cut tomorrow. total cost so far $80.

Get you this adapter from Amazon, it's been working perfectly all week, much better than that Motorola one, and it's tiny.

If they do it's not enough for me to notice. I don't think so, I have the seat jackers installed up front so I may not be the best for deciding.

Installed a Wolfbox G900 Pro. Tapped into my rear view mirror harness to run the hardwire kit, made for a clean install. I bought the Wolfbox OEM bracket kit so I removed my mirror and tucked away the cables all nice under the headliner.

I also had to replace my third brake light on my GFC Topper (housing faded and cracked at the screws) so I did that and made a notch in the wire access hole using a dremel to fit the rear camera cable. It’s clean but I’m going to add some butyl tape to push out the light a little bit for the camera cable and seal it up good. Waiting on a Shittco camera mount for the GFC to make it even better.

nice work - that tapping into the existing wiring like that looks very easy - i have this thing on my bench and have been putting off since it will take a while to wire etc (and i do like wiring, just takes me a while with 1. OCD and 2. I am newer so i take a lot of time to try to get it right and over kill).

So curious of any issues pop up.... or if working fine nothing to consider?

For me, not going back to the old mirror once the wolfbox is in.

    nice work! appreciate any insights!

    This and that
There is a thread but you can also use a dongar mirror cable, has a usb adapter. No tapping needed.

Thanks! No issues so far, but it’s been installed less than 24 hours. It runs flawlessly and goes into parking mode as intended once I turn off my truck. The mirror is bigger than I thought so I’m glad I removed my stock mirror because my driver side visor does hit the mirror if at a particular angle.

I am also OCD about my wiring. I took the opportunity to clean up some wires in my topper, soldered and shrink wrapped all connections for my replacement light, and added wire loom to make it look neat.

The biggest consumption of my time was running the wire from the back under my truck and back into the cab. I have done this several times for other accessories so I already knew where the wire would go but it still took a while. I also ordered a 10-foot camera extension cable, so glad I did because the cable would have been too short otherwise.

Yes but this is for the hardwire parking mode cable. I also have a Dongar and removed it for this kit. The Dongar is great if you only want the camera to run when your vehicle is on.

Nice job, looks good.. If I may give some unsolicited advise, add something to keep the wires from vibrating/rubbing on the metal edges of that brace, it will cut into the wire(s) and cause issues down the road... You can even use rubber fuel line hose slit down the center to go over the (sharp) metal edges and either glue or zip tie or whatever the rubber hose in place... Same thing as having a rubber gromet for wires going through the firewall or wherever to keep from damaging the wires down the road...
