No but I remember that being a big new story back in the 90s regarding Jack in the Box I think? Or one of those places.

Naw I'm good with being made aware of most of that stuff but when they start including audio recordings of slaughterhouse workers breaking live screaming pigs' limbs out of sheer frustration I gotta skip to the next story. Luckily it's about the Oceangate implosion so that one should be more fun

I watched it become a culture war between the certification businesses. The PMI people felt threatened by this new way of doing things. https://www.pmi.org/ So PMI came out with their own spin on it.

Then there were two factions within Agile/Scrum.
One was the High-Church scrum.org (the original founders) the other scrum-alliance was more popular due to an easier certification exam.

Each group seems to have its own faction. I certified with the harder exam first, then went for scrum alliance last. The PMI looked a lot like an old club named the DPMA with a very unique certification exam requirement.

Due to my remote location, I didn't want to get bound to a group that required meetings in far away places just to maintain my cert. So much of this is rehashed stuff from long ago that I try to shake it and move on.

Today everybody is going for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Certifications.

When I get any spare time, I'd rather go off-roading and recharge by being away from computers and email. I'm way more productive that way.

Bro, you should eat some goat (shawarma style) from Iraq.

The kids/teens would chase it around this large pen and get it going for a good bit before a guy grabbed it, slung it up and slit its throat to drain the fucker.

Apparently it made the meat taste better; I just remember it being good as hell with their pita bread

See that sounds like a fun day at the playground compared to what I just listened to lol

I've had goat before, kebabs I think. One of my ex's that I was with for a few years was half Persian so we went to a lot of Iranian/M.E. style restaurants with her family

That’s the one thing I just refuse to let myself dig into.. I’m just going to keep eating my bacon burgers in ignorance and peace. Or I’d have to settle for eating it in hypocrisy and disgust, either way I can’t give it all up lol

I'll choose that food over Indian any day of the week, or many other cultures; I can't stand the smell of most their foods

The one in my statement :luvya:

You never been bothered by certain food smells? Kind of like textures that you may find, unappealing.

When I was a kid I used to hang out with this girl who lived near where my dad worked and she lived with her grandparents and the food smell that came out of their home was terrible. Smelled like boiled hotdogs and bland food. Also vegan food.

Back in the late 90s there was a big scandal about Arby's using horse meat. I feel like its best just not to know what you are eating sometimes.

I’m really nervous about my daughter driving for lots of reasons, but the amount of unhinged motherfuckers out there on the roads with her is my biggest fear.

I seem to remember @unstpible saying a little while back that a high school age girl there was shot and killed in a road rage incident. I can’t even imagine.

    @Kwikvette
I think you said you worked in car sales before, what do you think happens to new cars built in Mexico after tomorrow?
Not that I'm in the market in any way, just curious

Every part of it yeah. Even ordering inventory as a sales manager.

    My theory?

I think production could possibly slow down as companies figure out what to do on their end to maintain revenue.

Something like decreasing supply thus increasing demand and driving prices up.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if certain vehicles also incorporated less rebates IE Stellantis.

Stellantis has always offered huge incentives where you could get over $5,000 in rebates off a Charger or Challenger and up to $8,000 in rebates off a Ram 1500.

They have a lot of vehicles made in Mexico.

    Just a theory of course.
