Funny you mention it, but yeah. I get cut off all the time in my S60, but they give the truck wide berth for some reason

Mr Robot was SO GOOD

 

We got Viofo A119 Mini2 cams in the Rav4 and GX.

They're Chinese but they use Sony Starvis sensors so they actually capture really well. Tons of great reviews which is why I bought them.

Only thing that sucks are the aftermarket power cables with USB end on them. They average a good $30-40 each but makes for a clean install.

I'll watch the trailers once Stephanie gets home. We've been wanting to watch a new show now that ours only airs a new episode every Wednesday

 

I don’t know what the new hotness is….I went through a few cheap ones over the years, liked the viofo a119 and looks like there’s a 2k version now for less than $100.

 

Jinx. Do they support Wi-Fi for easy clip access or do you still need to carry a microsd phone adapter lol

 

Yep, they have Wifi!

But they do still require a micro SD card for storage as there's no built-in storage.

I grew up not far from the site of the Mountain Meadows Massacre, so it’s super tempting to watch it just to see if they cover that or not. I can’t watch super violent stuff as much, tho, which is too bad. It looks epic.

I've caught so much shit, from close-calls, people running stop signs, someone running a red light a few weeks ago and more.

 

I was at my parents a few weeks ago, they live on a road with a 4 way light, mom was heading out, light turned green and I was like why isn't she moving, two seconds later a truck just cruised through the whole intersection like the light never changed. So fuckin glad shes observant. Same thing happened to me earlier this year and I always say I'm gonna order them.

So, since I'm ignorant, what's the capture system like on something like an A119 mini? Is it just recording on a loop or does it activate after a certain event? Or on command?
Looks like Amz has some sales on em right now. I'm going to snag.

 

Yeah he is awesome in American Primeval! And yeah the series opens with the infamous massacre, it’s a pretty brutal show violence-wise. Would not have been a fun time to be alive lol

That sucks but it happens so often now that you can almost expect it to happen anytime you're at an intersection.

I don't have my setup wired in at all to receive power when off, so I can't comment on the video capture while parked IE parking mode.

But when you turn on your vehicle, it'll automatically fire up and begin recording audio/video. You can play with resolution and framerate, as well as a few other functions. Can even have your speed/gps captured on video if you want.

And yes it just loops over and over once memory gets full. Just don't get a 32mb microsd card lol you don't want your 3 minute clip or whatever you set it at to get overwritten right away.

In other news I finally broke down and got a smoke tester to figure out the evap leak on the daily
For $70 thing works great, found out my charcoal canister is somehow cracked

New they’re like $400-500, eBay has them for $150, is this a just get new type of thing?
