Also crazy just how well-centered that motor is.

If you look above, I do have much more clearance with my Micro now not to mention it doesn't hit my front links when tucked.

@Strictlytoyz I think the front link contact that Angerhaus dealt with in his video was totally user error.

I screenshotted these parts and you can see when he assembled them, rather than placing the bend downward to face the ground, he actually has them facing outward.

    Screenshot 2025-01-31 140211.png

That clearly caused the issue he was dealing with here, forcing him to run the Mini

Just because someone posts a video to YouTube doesn't mean they know any more than you do.

    I understand.

The guy even says it's only his second build, so he has a lot to learn.

My post was more aimed at @Strictlytoyz as I understood the reference when he said some days back that someone had clearance issues using the Micro Komodo.

Then it dawned on me to go back and watch the video of the person having issues and I noticed the issue after my hands-on experience with my build (albeit a short one lol).

That's right, you're gonna test out some bent links

So the fumes are completely gone so I brought the rig into the house where it's much warmer.

    Hoping it cures well inside.

I'll definitely have to chop quite a bit off the front to clear the steering horn some more as well as the body for my tires -

    20250131_174948.jpg

On the plus side, I just learned that I can indeed set my steering end points with the DX.

When I had everything together, I found my tires turned well enough to hit my shocks and I needed to program some steering end points to prevent that.

Part of me had me thinking I have to switch TX/RX but nope!

    @Strictlytoyz

Tuesday at 7pm EST is when Mazz will replenish his stock

Now the only question is, aside from a set of links, should I buy another chassis or not :playball:

Those wheels look like a positive or centered offset, might try a spacer to set them out before you trim the body. I think mine are a -3 offset, the hex is almost to the inside edge of the wheel.

I'm doing another, but as a UTB.
with the Micro Komodo, same transmission, ESC, RX.
    Haven't decided on links yet.

I was trying to look up the specs but this is all they've got on there - https://littleguyracingparts.com/products/fifteen52-traverse-mx-1-0-beadlock-wheel

I'd take them off but you know, glue curing lol

Any pictures I've seen of the Cliffhanger running these axles almost always requires trimming farther around the fenders for the tires to fit.

That steering angle is no joke (and I plan to take advantage of it).

    Nice!

I sort of plan the same, except with LGRP's HD transmission (cheaper than the MR24) along with the Micro Komodo that's vacationing in Texas at the moment.

    @Strictlytoyz

Ordered some Slymeballz as well :anonymous:

Had considered ordering some a few days ago but only now did I realize they have a cheat sheet at the bottom of their page. Kind of weird as I would've missed it again had I not unlocked my scroll wheel and flicked it down

Do it you know you want to! I'm probably getting links, new sliders for wt micro body and another chassis
    :spending:

Had to throw on the extended hubs that came with my wheels because the stock ones put my tires into the shocks at full lock

    Shit.

Now I feel dumb - so remember when I said I had a "binding" issue when I installed my +1 hexes?

If I recall, I think I had tried to spin the tires by hand and proceeded to put the stock hexes back on. Only to remember we had this whole talk about worm gears just recently.

Maybe it was the worm gear that kept me from turning it.

Just more shit to check on tomorrow.

I'd try to take the lean out of the front shock or flip them to see if they give more clearance upside down. All the steering angle is worth having front shocks be vertical

And I'm gonna have to trim the front grill off

No worries, I kind of expected it.

Really just need the side markers cut out but it'd look really weird/ugly having the lights hang (I'll try it out).

The front wheels when turned and locked rub the front corners of the lexan body even after setting my steering end points.
