There is a country song by John Hiatt called Tennessee Plates, about a man who picks up a teenage female hitchhiker and goes on a cross-country crime spree, and ultimately steals one of Elvis Presley’s Cadillacs from Graceland; I immediately thought of that song when I saw where this Caddy was from…

 

Basically, any rental vehicle registered in the lower 48 states, Alaska, and Canada is likely to show up here. This Hyundai is from Texas, a silver Wagoneer from Texas that I did earlier can be seen in the background, and the farthest traveled vehicles I’ve ever seen so far are California and Washington…

Note how the white Nissan Rogue above has California plates; every vehicle sold new in California since the late 1990s or early 2000s has had one of these stupid stickers in the window…

I feel like damn near everything is known to cause cancer in California!

 

It would also appear that the Audi was sold new in California…

 

We picked up some rentals at Fred Beans Ford, and I saw this used 2024 CyberTruck on the lot…

 

This 2024 Cadillac Escalade has less than 12,000 miles on it…

 

It was rented by a wealthy family for a month or two while their car was in the body shop. They trashed the damn thing! As you can see here, it would appear that they hauled a Christmas tree…

 

I wish I would have gotten more interior pics before we cleaned it up. There was gravel and shit on the floor before I vacuumed it up…

 

Less than 12K miles and the interior was trashed!

 

This was one of the rental vehicles we were picking up when I spotted the CyberTruck. I was hoping to get at least two more vehicles done after the Escalade, but the customer broke one of the 2nd row seats. My coworker discovered this when he tried to flip the seat forward to clean. Doing this made things worse, and the seat got stuck in the folded position. This rendered the seat unusable, forcing us to take the Escalade to Fred Beans Cadillac just up the street. This sucked up a good half hour, and the Rogue was so trashed that I couldn’t finish it tonight!
