During the incident, when I was attempting to leave, I noticed the initial aggressor coming up behind my truck in attempt to take a picture of my license plate; I got out in attempt to block him doing from so, absentmindedly leaving the truck in drive. Amanda started screaming for me, and I ran after the truck and caught it; I jumped in and hit the brake pedal, but Amanda hadn't put her seatbelt on. She flew forward and hit her head on the passenger grab handle, and unknowingly getting a concussion. The symptoms of the concussion did not really begin to manifest themselves until Friday, and I believe I took her to the hospital on Saturday, at which point it was confirmed. Amanda had called out of work on Saturday morning, and I took her to the nursing home on Sunday morning to give them her doctor's note. In an extreme case of bad timing, the wife of the stroke patient was there filling out an incident report and overheard Amanda talking to a coworker. She pretty much flew into a rage, and when the nursing home became aware that I was there, I was forced to come in and give my version of events; I only agreed to come on the condition that the other party was not present, and initially refused to give a statement on the advice of my parents. I did end up giving a statement, and thing were kept civil, but basically said that if these people wanted to be assholes, I would be an asshole right back and not only press charges for assault but sue for the damage to my truck; I then stated that if the family if the stroke patient left it alone, I would "sail off into the sunset", forget the whole situation, and eat the cost of repairing my truck. That last part ended up being a moot point because the body guy fixed it for free in like two minutes.

Thirty minutes after leaving the nursing home, after being told by the very friendly woman who took my statement that the police would more than likely not be involved, I got a call from an officer of the Horsham Township PD; I missed the call but knew who it was because of the voicemail. He didn't say anything specific other than that I needed to call him back, and I was initially worried I'd have to plead the fifth and contact an attorney. I called the number back and was told by this cop that no charges would be filed (again, I didn't do anything), but that I'd been trespassed from the nursing home and wasn't welcome back on the property.

Amanda and I try to go to church every Sunday, and I will freely admit that I was pretty livid over the whole situation. I have been praying to the man upstairs since December 2024 that something unfortunate would happen to the nursing home, purely out of spite, specifically that the place would either go out of business or get shut down for an extended period of time because of health code violations or something...

It would appear that my prayers have been answered, because mine and Amanda's former coworker believes that the place could be shutting down in six months to a year since they don't seem to be paying their bills...

Might want to read Luk 6:27-31

    BTW, I’m not super religious.
I just happen to grow up in a Christian family in the middle of the Bible Belt.

I’d have to say it was coincidental.
The big man probably had nothing to do with it. Or at least not at your request.

    It is indeed.

BTW, if someone steals my coat.
They have a better chance of me giving them a punch to the face, then me giving them my shirt.

As someone who been punched in the face. I can assure you, it not easily forgotten. And the result are typically instantaneous.

In my experience, there's no such thing as karma. JMO

Sometimes in life it might be better to turn the other cheek. However, as I see it, it's about knowing whom those are who will slap the other cheek as well if you let them.

Or does that mean to moon them Hmmm

I understand that, but Charlie brought up the fact he has been going to church.
And said he prayed, or asked, for something to happen to his old employer.
Not sure he’s in the right place, or asking that right ”person” or deity to cast a curse.

I haven’t dabbled in alternative religions, or beliefs, enough to know what ones claim they cast a curse of bad fortune. Mostly because I don’t believe in it. Pretty sure Wiccans dabble in that. But I think there’s repercussions if casting “bad” curses? Really don’t know. Just know a girl I worked with was Wiccan. She spoke on it. But I never retained much of what she said. Mostly, because I didn’t care. And didn’t believe any of it.

I, myself, don’t go to church. Mostly for the fact that I’m not willing to, or want to, change my ways, and how I live my life as set forth in the Bible.

    Maybe one day?
But not today. Seems hypocritical for someone like me to attend service.

I will agree with you though. I’m certainly not calling time out after someone slaps me it the face, so that I can pray to the lord to have mercy on their soul.
Nahh……I’m going throw fists. And then I might pray. LOL…..
Damn sure not going to turn my check and let them hit me again…….

I was largely being facetious about the whole praying thing, but the way that I was treated when I really did didn’t do anything wrong aside from unwittingly parking in a crosswalk has had me pretty fired up. The people who run the nursing home are clearly scumbags…

I have been super busy, and super tired at the end of the day as a result, so I have three days worth of work-related pictures to post; I am also going to start posting everything work-related in this thread instead of the MegaThread. I drove a Hyundai Santa Fe on Monday, and it had these sweet blind spot cameras!
