I ran one in my BMW for about a year. I really like the sub - I had it in about .7 cubes, running off a Zapco DC amp - rated power was 180w with 2 bridged channels, so pretty low power.

It blended with the mids very well, sounded great - far better than my expectations, and I had no issues.

With that said, another member here has tore up 2 of them, and after talking to him, and seeing the subs, I would be hesitant to run them in anything but a lower power system. Not SPL subs.

What type of answer are you looking for? Are you wanting me to explain displacement and TS parameters or what?

The JL sub is just more capable. I think the SI sub now has had the carrier assembly improved since the first batch were sold so it's possible they are more resilient now. Either way though, judging from your "I want 2 12's" comment I'm guessing you want a loud system so buy the JL's.

in a 4th order bandpass tuned to 53hz. If I am not mistaken, that is Jacob Fuller's Jeep (owner of Sundown Audio) - a SPL jeep, designed around his vehicles peak. And on a ton of power.

I would guess, if you are able to use full excursion, it is probably louder than the JL. Air displacement is a feature of cone area and excursion, and that is where the BM wins.

So, basically - get a jeep, deaden it, find its peak, and build your box around that.

What are your ultimate goals in your truck?

So, exactly how much air space do you have available to give up? Depth, length, height will matter.

Thats a BIG NO!!! I do have to say that sub was and is intended to be a SQ sub and deff. will not "pound". Trust me I just sold mine. It did sound amazing but just did not have nor seemed to be able to handle the output that I wanted.

You will need to start fully answering questions if you want help. I dont have a reg cab, no access to check em out, no idea how far back you rock your seat, etc.

I'm not trying to be a dick but do we have a legitimate language barrier here? If we do that's cool and I'm happy to be patient but if it's just some kid trying to act thug then I deem this thread a no-help zone.

    Yet again.

If you want help, answer the questions. Seriously.

No, really.... Answer them. Yes, for real. The answers. Provide them. Any time would be great, but the earlier the better. Seriously. Yes. I am not joking. Answer the questions.
