Thin layers are all you need. The texture will hide the rest. Anything other than a 15-20 minute cure dry mix is a waste of time.

I don't use any of the ready mixed joint compounds. They're all runny, sour cream, glop, slop.

edit: mesh tape too. I hate that paper tape.

 

Hot mud is great for bedding in the tape quickly and then you can go to your next coat. However it does not sand well at all. I learned that mistake real quick. Even did it twice just to make sure

 

We had a pizza in the oven when it decided to lose its mind and go into self cleaning mode. Checked online and called a few local places and the control board is obsolete. I miss the old appliances back when they weren’t smart.

 

How old and what model?

 

16 or 17 years old, 30” electric wall oven, Whirlpool Gold, model GBS307PRB01

This is the way.

 

I like this tape called FibaFuse, it's shredded fiberglass and gives you nasty splinters but does great fixing cracks.

 

Sounds like what I use. FibaTape. I've never gotten splinters using it though.

 

It's probably similar, maybe l just have a bad roll that wasn't glued together properly. Even wearing gloves l get splinters from it, lol.

 

Been trying to get a ceiling fan warranty from hunter and they are doing everything in their power not to warranty it. now they want pics of wiring, 15 amp breaker, etc. They concluded that the fan isn’t compatible with two switch ceiling fan connections (like every house in USA since at least the 2000’s). I told them it is only connected too one of the switches and the second switch (capped red wire) isn’t in use. I wired the fan per installation instructions. My friends are calling me a Karen.

 

Ya know I don't know what your problem is but that little green box went out on our hunter fan a few years ago and they sent out a new one. If it's not turning on that could be the issue.

not sure if i posted. got rid of the wire rack and added some Gladiator cabinets in the garage with another workbench

 

That looks like nice set up! Id clutter up that in no time...

 

i do have a sandblaster on there now as well. slowly finishing up projects to organize more. lol my other workbench is a bit cluttered but showing improvement
