Finished assembly of my new upper for my P365 this morning. Need to press in the sights still though.. might just do the front only.

Top is the new one. Zaffiri XL Ported slide plus their threaded barrel and stock RSA and internals. Planning on throwing in a DPM "soft" RSA to tune it for the Hux can. Will pick up a Zaffiri Ported barrel to match the slide later as well.

Bottom is my EDC upper. Sig Spectre Comp slide plus Zaffiri barrel and Empire PBF Javelin RSA.

Seems to me there will be a serious throat erosion problem.

That's a 556 original, right? I have a 556R Gen 2 that I love, but due to Sig's non-support, I just don't want to shoot. Did you do anything with the gas plug to be able to shoot suppressed?

Correct, started life as a factory 556 pistol. I modified my existing 2 position and made it a 4 position with 2 smaller holes and corresponding detents for less gas when shooting suppressed. Helped tremendously. I also recently picked up a 6 position gas valve and will be trying that this weekend. Its still very gassy.. lol I'm wanting to pick up the new Infinity from Otter Creek to try on it. I think with it being a low back pressure can it would be much better.

I think about that now and then, especially seeing Gatewood supply and other small sources for parts start to dry up.. BUT.. I finally have my dream gun and I love it and cant take it with me when I die.. so.. lol

let me know if you ever want to part with that R btw...

I put a 556 gas valve into my 556R, but haven't tried it yet. It's definitely got smaller holes, but I'm a little scared to try it out. Where did you get the 6 position valve?

It would be fine I imagine. Just going to let less gas through the system. just might not cycle.

here's the aftermarket gas valve. I modified my own and started looking into making a whole new one.. to find out someone had JUST beat me to it. This guy came up with the design and outsources to a machine shop. Quality is good and the small holes in it are the same or slightly larger than the small holes in my modified one. It is nice to have another source for them at least.. so I bought one to have 2 on hand. I wish it had even smaller holes. I drilled mine with a .9mm (.0354") Carbide drill.

Just to confirm since it says 550, and i can't access this site at work. Does this also include the 556 and in my case the 556R? I thought they used different sized plugs

its for the 55X series.. just not the XI variant. if that other 556 gas valve you have fits and the gas holes line up.. then so would the Pierce one.
