I believe that any wiring deal as long as they look similar will work.
    Size/diameter wise.
Heck as an old wrencher is doesn't even matter solid wire type/multi wire strand or whatever.
I find most things are keep it simple.
If you can work on it it's not like a NASA rocket.

i have the gm-dx975 powering 2ohm kappa speakers (the 100w rating is 2ohm only but has been proven to actually put out well over rated power). and yes i replaced all the wires with 14g ofc wire. oem audio plus recommends upgrading wiring over 75watts rms so thats what i did.

when you say 9 wire do you mean your running the amp off the high level inputs?

no, its just speaker wire plugged into the wire harness then to the amp. My rcas are sending the signal to the amp then the 9 wire back to the speakers

man running the power, amp turn on, rcas, and 9 wire was already a huge pain in the ass. Dont even know how to go about running new speaker wire

step 1. take the seats and interior out.

i always run new wiring with my amp installs. not worth the hassle of going halfway with the oem speaker wire.

I have done a lot of car audio installs. Some pretty hefty ones. Getting the speaker wire through the doors and into the cab is usually the hardest part to do cleanly. Very long zip ties are your friend for this. Get the longest and skinniest ones you can find then feed it through the door into the cab and use it to pull your new wires through.

18ga can handle 100 watts RMS no problem. You could splice your 9 wire cable to your factory speaker cables, but this requires cutting your harness unless you have a harness adapter you can cut instead.

i broke down wire loom and taped new speaker wire to the original stuff to pull it through the door "tube".

factory wiring is good for up to about 75w rms. I'd rewire.
