    Greetings everyone,
I’m new to posting on these forums although I’ve browsed a ton. I’m looking for help regarding my 2009 Tacoma V6. The exhaust on my truck has developed what I believe to be multiple cracks or holes that makes driving the truck incredibly noisy. I have tracked down one of the cracks to be this component in the image below leaking exhaust smoke. What would be the best plan of attack for solving this leak?

Yup. They can deteriorate over time.

....and fyi for whomever, as applicable, in that same general area, a less obvious rattle i developed is where the hanger weld to the exhaust where 2 hanger sections sort of 'y' and are welded to each side of the pipe, one of them separated, though it is far from obvious.....

I replaced all of my exhaust gaskets last year. For that one, welded nuts were rusted through. I just broke them off the flange with a vice grip and replaced with regular nuts and used new OEM bolt, spring and gasket. Cat gaskets were also leaking, I replaced those as well with OEM after thoroughly cleaning all flanges. My taco now purrs like a kitten.
