If I had 2k for a new suspension I’d still go for the Dobinson MRR 3 way adjustable

It does look nice. They didn’t respond to my Instagram comment about a trade in with my foam cells or when they’ll be listed separately, since I wouldn’t need leaf packs.

You're better off trying to sell the leaf packs if they don't separate...if/when you decide...if you do move forward.

 

Yeah, that could always work. If they match the foam cell prices, 1250 for the assembled fronts and then 600 for the rears…. So 1850 for the kit, 1999 for the package with the leaf packs. There would be only one option in that case.


The dobinsons are 2200 for the shocks and struts, I think.

 

Have me a bed rack already, just need to get some of the hardware to put the tent back on!

Man the rear window is sweet! I was looking more at 2013-2020, prices are a little more realistic

 

A while ago I was starting to actually debate whether I could make the jump to a tundra financially but then I thought about how much more annoying it would be on tight trails and in parking garages/cities

A truck that size would be sooo nice for cross country drives but i also don’t want to have to start a build all over again lol

Plus I obviously love my taco. It’s still so tempting though. It’s like a tug of war in my brain

 

Yea, the size is one of the issues. After your post I looked at prices again and saw one with a discount, I think hybrid platinum trim was cheaper than a Tacoma trail hunter

 

I believe it!! The new tacomas are soooo over priced it’s crazy. I did see a lot of reasonably priced Tundras while I was at the dealership that one time. I wonder if they’re marking them down because of the issues with the new ones. I do have to say that the interior didn’t really impress me for a new gen of a full sized truck.

It's a constant thought in the back of my mind. I think by the time I can afford a trailer or camper, I should be able to finance a tundra. Until then, I'll be slapping on a rear diff locker, and hopefully a winch on the taco

I agree with you all in the Taco to Tundra debate. I have three strikes as to why it’s simply not an option for me…

1. Other than my wheels and lights, nothing of my Taco build will transfer over.

2. Truck is close to paid off! Starting all over would suck tremendously!

3. Wifey is past due for a new vehicle… with her murdering me in a very graphic and disturbing way for this decision, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it from the grave.
