Race boots generally aren't rigid, though some have some rigid ankle supports.

I haven't gone back down to 1st gear on track, but I have only ridden some high speed tracks so far. Hoping to try out more this year!

Sleet and freezing rain last night made my driveway a sheet of ice this morning. Supposed to hit 50 this afternoon. Wanted to ride to work but not when I can't safely get out of the garage like that.

From the listing: " Depending on who you listen to, either none were officially built, Honda created some kits, or Honda made about 250-300 examples that were only sold in Japan in ’92 and ’93."

Pic from the link in the listing: photo1-20_zps1c95c448_b639b8308d2845fe233303d2f925c107e4b7527a.jpg

From the article @uurx posted: "Sources also debate whether Honda sold the EZSnow as a complete vehicle, as a kit, or as both at varying stages. Honda’s original 1991 Japanese press release makes no mention of a kit, though forumers speak of them being sold as such. It’s equally possible that complete EZSnows were converted back into bikes and had their unique parts sold off at a profit."

    AKA who knows..

Man id be worried with those oil drains hanging low like that. Even with my lift dogbone link in the rear I have scraped my aftermarket skid going over larger speed bumps at just the right speed - and it hugs the underside of the motor pretty well.... you running skidless... eeek.

I thought about it and they're angled enough that I don't think it would be an issue. I might get a skid plate in the future but I think it should be OK. I haven't hit anything yet.

Hope you all had a good weekend. BMW is still in the shop until tomorrow waiting on a new radiator cap. Took the truck to work today and got some new tires put on. Going from MT to AT is such a nice change lol.

@nd4spdbh was it you who went to Maui and did the Road to Hana on a rental bike?

I'm supposed to be going this thursday for a friend's bachelor party, and suggested we do Road to Hana to the Black Sand Beach on one of the days. Still unsure whether we're gonna pile into cars or if I'm going to rent a motorcycle to follow/lead along with them, leaving it up to the bachelor to decide. Any suggestions on a good rental company to use if I do get a moto, or any specific stops along the way?

    Yup that was me!

4 days of riding 655 miles all over the island, what a phenomenal time on the lil CRF250 Rally I rented

Rented from here as he was one of the only places that had something other than harleys
    https://mauimotoride.com/contact/

IF you are just wanting to rent for one day to do road to hana id say probably skip it. Having a car where you can store things and enjoy the scenery is probably better especially considering logistics of picking up a bike and dropping it off same day. NOW, if you were going to rent for 3 days or so and follow someone whos driving a car that works out well, best of all worlds (thats what I did).

    Road to Hana recommendations
    • Leave early. Be at the start of the road by mama's fish house at 7-730 - bring a good sized cooler with beer and hiking shoes, plan to get rained on
    • Grab some bannana bread from "Aunty Sandy's Banana Bread" for a morning snack enjoy some bread and a beer at "Keanae Lookout" right around the corner
    • Continue all the way to "Charles Lindbergh's Grave" and have a look around at that beautiful spot.
    • Start making your way back and stop to hike "Waimoku Falls"
    • Have a late lunch at "Hāna Ranch Restaurant" - Best meal I had my entire 7 days there and that tops Mama's fish house.
    • After lunch park across the street and take the short hike to "Kaihalulu Red Sand Beach"
That will pretty much take ALL day to do that while enjoying some time at each spot.

    Other Maui Recomendations:
    • "Mahalo Aleworks" in uptown - great beer spot with epic views
    • "LA Paruse Bay" south of Kihei - awesome volcanic bay
    • Go up to the top of Haleakala of course - the road from the main turn off to the ranger station is a motorcyclists dream

Appreciate the very fleshed out response! Yeah I was iffy on renting just for the day like you said, but saw that they do drop offs and pickups? Was thinking of giving that company a call to see just how flexible they are. Definitely would get started early, we'd probably do it Friday so hopefully avoid heavier traffic that would be present on the weekends.

We're still figuring out the rest of the weekends itinerary so I think that will determine whether I rent or not. Saturday is still wide open, Sunday they wanted to catch a sunrise at the top of Haleakala. Certainly not opposed to rent for multiple days (honestly would prefer it lol) but like you said it just wouldn't make much sense to do so for just the one day/outing. Maybe I'll just have to go back on my own time and rent for several days lol

Appreciate all the food recs! will definitely be doing my best to incorporate those, none of us are too big of drinkers.
