There's quite a bit of bodies out there to print. Really debated getting a printer. That one looks like it's got a pinched/dovetail hood though.

it is dovetailed front and rear. I'll post up if I get the rear to work out.

    Charger and battery arrives tomorrow.

Depending on the battery performance, I may order a few more otherwise I'll try out 3S as well.

    20250202_160250.jpg

Left room for a small tool kit with extra parts as well as room for a lipo bag and batteries.

I'll make this my go everywhere kit.

I have a gift card to harbor freight and may do this with my Mini Z chassis & bodies. I'm waiting on an Apache deal. Probably should have used the 20% next time I see it.

I have no place to put it so I had to grab a case.

Correction; I have plenty of space in the garage but metal dust and all isn't gonna do well for the rig. Will work well for storage and transport!

You could totally use the smaller cases. This one is their 4800 (XL).

I was thinking a 3800 should do for 3 chassis and 3 additional bodies. They fit on their side I believe

I use one of these when I’m out drifting or crawling with our 1/24. I use a big 6s 6800mah battery and can usually charge 5-8 5200-6000mah 2s batteries before it gets to 3.85v per cell.

    Damn, it wants to climb!

I'd say just wait! I flopped over a few times and although I did put a few scratches to the roof, I was glad I hit that and nothing inside IE body-less.

Plan to go back Tuesday again since my battery arrives tomorrow at god knows what time.

If I want a day on the trail with no repairs I bring a tool wrap in my pocket. If I leave my tools at home it's a guarantee I'll be heading home early.

Got my Tacoma body cut out over the weekend. Ordering paint today hopefully, still need to settle fully on a color.

EDIT: Ended up with Tamiya PS-63 Bright Gunmetal & PS-5 Black. Really excited to paint it, everything should arrive next weekend.

A small zipper bag with travel tools and a few spare odds and ends is a must for trailing. Anything not to carry the truck back when it breaks.
Nice. I'm excited to see this. I have that body hanging up waiting on a warmer day.

Keep us/me posted on this. I'm just patiently waiting for my backordered Anvil body to get back in stock. I'm doing the same colors, except maybe some bright silver too. I'm curious as to how the bright gunmetal looks.

2nd attempt at this, joined the two halves together. I have a third printing with a few small changes.

added a rear mount and some supports under the hood for the new print. This print is eggshell thin, super light and prone to breaking the hood in a harsh rollover. So naturally I'm gonna try it. It just fits so well.

Went back to the Injora tires in the pic above. Combined with the new 47g wheels, it will climb a 55 degree smooth plywood incline. Those things are sticky icky. The other ones barely made 43 degrees.

    Man I hate this.

Let me elaborate - my kid recently fell in love with anything vehicle-related.

I mean, he even yells out at cars happily when I take him out the car seat in the parking lot, watching my RC rig, or even while in the garage staring at the project lol

We recently got him a small, toy train set and he enjoys watching that too but I wish I could get tracks that fit much better. I either need a 3D printer to make my own or a CNC wood setup and it makes me want to get one when I see cool setups like yours.
