There you go. I said something you don't agree with so ban him.

I really don't care if you kill that 1.5 year old buck. All I suggested is, if you want to see bigger bucks in your area you don't.

Some of you need to put the mouse down, step away from the computer, and get a grip. Figure out why you take something posted by someone just expressing an opinion so personally.

It's sad to see how the internet fucks up what are most likely decent people in real life.

You fail to see its not about having differing opinions. Differing opinions are more than welcome around here, even encouraged; being an ass isn't. The topics been covered pretty sufficiently. No one disagrees that deer get older and more mature every year that they don't die. The disagreement surfaces when you begin to try and force your practices/opinions on others. You act like you don't care what people shoot, yet you feel led to tell people what they should and shouldn't shoot; its a complete contradiction, and why not a single person has met your posts without confliction. Try to be civil and contribute your opinions to the thread without being antagonistic/picking fights/taking personal shots at people; it'll be a lot more rewarding for all of us. I saw your post in another thread, you'd share the wealth with others, hunt, and buy a Tundra if you had endless money; I don't exactly think you're a bad person, and don't exactly think your hunting preferences are bad practice either; just that your hunting preferences don't dictate how others hunt. We all agree the buck will be better next year. But it will taste the same and feed our family this year. We're all entitled to harvest the deer of our choice, so long as we do it legally. Lets be courteous to one another and remember that, celebrate each others' wins, and quit the useless bickering. Its all good dude, carry on

I bought a PSE Stinger Max bow a few years back when picking up archery hunting. It was some basic package from Bass Pro, and honestly its been great! Maybe I just haven't archery hunted long enough, but I haven't quite figured out the obsession with multi-thousand dollar bow setups :notsure: Same for rifle hunting too, I want a tool that I don't necessarily care about getting wet, muddy, or scope scratched; not a few thousand dollar precision rifle with hand load only. I guess if you've got the money, sure it'd be great, but I guess I'm the one that 'don't got the money' lol.

I’ve got a bad feeling my shoulder will go early. I already have to spend 15-20 mins daily to keep it operational and I’m only 38. Absolutely destroyed it last year and barely escaped surgery via Physical Therapy. Doc said next time it’s likely going to be an operation so I have to be meticulous about how I do things

I started seeing a chiropractor much earlier in my life than I imagined I would, and discovered some issues I didn't even know I had. A few minutes on the floor with a foam roller each day has seemed to be something I don't think I can go without now.

Yea a lot of mine is the same. A ton of massaging and a ton of band strengthening exercises before I lift weights. Off days it’s the bands and stretching.

small town East Texas childhood meant shit medical care and shit advice for injuries. Paying for that now lol

Perhaps an unpopular take here, but I like the newer bows. Western tags are hard to get so I do a lot of archery since it’s less desirable than rifle tags.

The newer bows slap. My Bowtech revolt x80 can paper tune the cam angle with just an Allen key, so I don’t have to bring it in the house and mess with it in the press.

I’m getting like 312 with a 450gr arrow, granted I shoot 80 lbs. That said, it draws back smoother than the old binary cams from 10 years ago. I think the new stuff is awesome.

I think Mathews copied that adjustability on the end of their limbs this year. I know Bowtech has had it for a few years now.

I concur. Performance is nice. My other thing is how much lighter and more compact they are.

bowtech insanity vs my Matthew’s triax. Mine is considerably smaller, lighter, and performs as well as the larger Bowtech that was just a few years old at the time

Seems to be the case for anything that works well. We the consumers are usually the winners.
Darton was the OG of the binary cams, and pretty much everyone has gone to that in some shape or form.
I just like having options myself. I personally prefer longer bows for what I do. Shots are longer, and having a 33 or 34 ATA I’ve found is a little more forgiving in field conditions.

Couple that with being able to send a heavier arrow at some speed, and I’m not afraid to take a “longer” shot on bigger game because of open country and gnarly terrain being a limiter in stalking.

Hell I can’t argue with that. I haven’t shot enough bows to know the difference really. I just know miles of off trail hiking, it’s so much more manageable to have that smaller lighter bow.

what I hear you saying is that my wife needs to let me buy a few more different sized bows so that I can gain valuable experience and become a more efficient hunter……:anonymous:
