Of course not. It isn’t a Baja racing truck!

Gawd that is beyond infuriating. It should be optional or non existent for us, wonder if I can swap them.

I'm sure you could find somebody that would swap you for the iso seats but in return you would get very plain seats. You wouldn't be able to get the red, it would have to be someone with the premium package or you'd lose your ventilation, and probably a hybrid because I think the rear seat is different too.

Would probably be easier to unbolt the struts and frame. It be easy for an upholsterer to make a new flat back panel.

If the 4Runner Pro has the same seat pattern but not iso in theory I should be able to swap with them and same interior.

I love how they now charge for a spray in bed liner when it's composite.

I've been told that the ScudRunner looks a lot better in person than it does in the marketing material.

The TRD Pro and the Offroad Premium both intrigue me.

Would it be reasonable or would it be foolish to assume that the Gen 6 4Runnner is effectively one year ahead in debugging time due to the Gen 4 Tacoma preceding it? In other words, is the 2025 model year effectively the 2nd year?

No it's a different vehicle that does happen to share drivetrain components. Presumably the 4Runner will have an engine manufactured in Japan, unless Toyota is shipping engines to Japan and sending completed units back. Which could be what they are doing, the LC 250 production process could answer that question.

I still think 4R and LC 250 production will move to Mexico when the time is right. This will also be the 2nd year of LC 250 production.

This is why I REFUSE to pay for that. Get me a truck without it or don't charge me for it.

At first I thought the bed liner on a composite bed was stupid. Right now I have a mat to keep stuff from sliding around and I hear the 4g bed is slicker. When I haul tree trimmings or pick up a load of gravel (you know, truck stuff) leaves, twigs, small rocks, etc end up under the mat. Pulling out the mat so I can blow or hose out the bed isn't a big deal but having a non skid texture and not having to pull the mat out is appealing. Yes, $140 for the mat vs $575 for the spray is a big increase but I'm leaning towards the spray-on liner. Also the PPO dealer cost for the spray-on is $450, so you might be able to to tell them "give it me at cost or find me a truck without it".

I wouldn't be surprised if they made the 4th gen bed slicker on purpose to get you to pay more for mat/spray in.

Aftermarket bed mats from Lasfit and Triplealiner have an upward lip around the outer rim. Yes some dirt intrusion can stlll get in between, but they don't seem to be the dirt magnet like the crack that exists between the oem mat and our beds. At least you can hose the bed down and not have the slurry channel into that crack the oem mat has.

Possible, pinouts would need to match though. 4Runner Pro has a power recline, Tacoma Pro has a manual recline lever

The vehicle harness/connector is probably the same for all Tacomas. I believe all 3g seat were prewired for heat. Ther's probably an always hot for the fore-aft/recline motors and switched power for the heated seats. The seat connector determines where that power goes. TacoBuffet should buy both Pros and do the swap. 4R has enough rear seat room that the bigger seats won't be an issue. Win-win.

I would typically agree with you there as some prior models shared the same harness and could accept parts of other trims. However, we are not seeing the same scenario is this current generation, harnesses looks to be different in some areas of the vehicle and or missing on certain trims (i.e. base level TRD to TRD Premium). But you are right as the seat would in theory only call for power as functions should be contained within the seat itself. Guess he needs to be the guinea pig for all of us lol

Today I just started having issues with my JBL Premium Audio. The system has been fine the first 2 weeks of ownership. However, today, it started sounding very muffled. It is only the HD Radio. When I play music via the phone/Apple Music it sounds great. I didn't make any settings changes today. It just started doing that on it's own. I am now at the dealer and they are telling me 2 hours to "diagnose" the issue as the truck and system is so new that Techs are still training, etc. I am a little annoyed.

Have you looked at the built-in equalizer settings?
