    Hey Tacoma people,

    I just purchased my dream Tacoma this past week.

    TRD OFF ROAD PREMIUM
    2023 lunar rock.

    im super into camping and hiking in the deep woods of British Columbia so I’m pumped to have a reliable vehicle to take me there.

    im looking for skid plate, running boards, RTT, and tire suggestions.

    I’m all ears! I don’t use her as a daily driver into the city For work , but she will be used for all other purposes.

    I went from being a GMC girl to a Toyota girl so im pretty pumped

    Welcome to TW, great color choice for your truck!

    Lots of threads and opinions here. For a skid plate, I’d recommend something with oil filter access, like the @CaliRaisedLed skid plate or the TRD Pro skid. I’ve got the Caliraised and have been happy with it. Have hit rocks and tree stumps with no issues.

    Tires are going to be a tough one. Lots and lots of choices and everyone will give you different ideas. I have the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T and have been really happy with them, on and off road.

    Congrats. Don't go wheeling alone unless you have everything such as winch, recovery ropes, etc.. Camping alone is fine as long as there is no rough trails between A and B. I mean make sure you don't get stuck somewhere.

    For tires, Toyo Open Country AT3 are decent all around tires. Skid plates ,Ricochet Off Road makes a complete( expensive) aluminum front to back package. Instead of running boards look at sliders, at least the might save you from some damage. Running boards are almost useless for preventing damage.
