Hey @Desert Dog, We do sell the lights individually and those do not come with a wiring harness. One thing to note though is when the total comes out it will be cheaper to purchase the pair of lights with the wiring harness than two single lights without.

Can you tell me how the light output of the LP9 Pro Driving/Combo in white (1 pod) compares to the Onx6+ 20" in Driving/Combo white? How about the LP9 vs 30"?

Also, does the Onx6+ bar have a high beam and low beam, like the LP9? I noticed on the spec sheet in mentioned High/Low when referencing the watts and amps of the bar.

I'm planning ahead for when I buy a new ATV and the main thing I want to do is add some extra light. There's a perfect spot on the front of the quad for one LP9, but I could also add an Onx6+ to the front rack. Not sure which way I want to go yet, but I'm worried about power draw. I'm not sure what a Yamaha Grizzly 700 can handle as far as extra lights go. Ideally, if I could add BOTH an LP9 Pro and 30" Onx6+, I'd do that. But I'm not so sure the Grizzly could handle that much watt/amp drain. If not, I'd cut back to the LP9 & 20". But if still not, then I guess it's just one or the other.

I would first make a realistic decision on what kind of speeds you will most likely see. You may not need the power of the LP9 or the Onx6+ if you will only see 40-50mph tops. Use Baja Designs ELS to judge range. Then I use this website Speed Distance Time Calculator (calculatorsoup.com) to see what I might need for a given speed.

It's not so much speed (as the Grizzly is only capable of 62-64mph), but there's a lot of heavy forest/big mountains around me that I'd love to explore and I don't want to limit my exploration to daytime hours only. With something like the LP9 or Onx6+, or both, I could see myself going out into the deep woods all night long and having a blast. Not for racing, but just for exploring. (Though I'm sure with enough light I'd go max speed when possible)

It seems like you're saying either option borders on being way too much light for what I'm doing, but if the quad can handle the power draw, I don't think it would bother me having that much light (unless it would totally blow my eyes out). Realistically I might do one first, and then see how it looks, and then if I feel like even more would make me happier, then go for the other too as long as the quad could handle it.

I just need to figure out exactly how one LP9 Pro pod compares and contrasts to an Onx6+ bar (20" and 30"), in the white driving/combo pattern.

(About me, I tend to be someone who leans into the "bigger is better" way of thinking, even if it's not necessary. I'm sure a single LP6, or even LP4 would be plenty of auxiliary lighting for my needs, but if the quad can handle an LP9.....why not. lol. This way of thinking seems to come from past experiences where I went with what was adequate and then still wished I had more. :p)

    Hey @Mix 99.3

With the LP9 vs. our Onx6+, they both have their differences in light output. You will be able to get more light out of the Onx6+ 20” than the LP9 Pro. Our Onx6+ 20” will have a high/low function that runs 18,460 lumens at (12.0A) on the low setting and 24,920 on the high at (16.6A). With the LP9 you will have a high/low feature as well as an amber backlight and IPT to give you maximum spread. For the lumens count you are looking at 12,547 at 9A.

An option I would suggest would be looking at our XL80 or even Squadron Pro. I know the feeling of being bigger is better, but with the proper lens pattern as well as aiming the light where you need is a key factor in getting maximum lighting output. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or would like more information about our other lighting solutions.

Linked below are some specs of both lights to give you some comparison as well as other options to check out.

    LP9 Pro (clear) Driving Combo

OnX6+ Straight LED Light Bar - Universal

XL80 LED Auxiliary Light Pod - Universal

Squadron Pro Black LED Auxiliary Light Pod Pair - Universal

Thank you. I want to go as big and powerful as I possibly can -without- risking draining the battery or overstraining the system. I've looked into it a bit more and it looks like as long as I keep the auxiliary lighting under 10 amps I should be good. The LP9 comes in at a grand total of 9.12A (when you count the side LPT lighting) so I should technically be good using that. Otherwise, for the Onx6+, I could do a 10" as it only uses 8.4A on high. One or the other but not both.

Can you comment on the LP9 Pro (Driving/Combo) vs Onx6+ in the 10" (Driving/Combo) as far as light output and how they differ?

I assume both of those are brighter and have more light output than the XL80 and Squadron Pro? I may consider the XL80 (5.5A) if I decide I want to save a few extra amps for a grip heater or something.

On the Onx6+ page there is a spot that says: "NOTE: For basic on/off light function the applicable wiring harness is 640115. To access the High/low light function the applicable wiring harness is 640119."

Does the harness with only the on/off function use the high fuction only? So no low option in that case? (That's fine with me)

Do you guys offer any type of warranty on second-hand bought Baja Design lights? I have a set of Squadron Sport's I bought second hand and was wondering if I shot myself in the foot down the line by saving a couple bucks.

Hey, I see you guys are rolling out lots of products for the 2024 Tacomas. Have you looked at designing a mounting bracket to put Squadron SAE lights behind the lower valance? I like the Toyota OEM fog lights for the daily commute, but would like to have the yellow Squadrons for extra lighting when needed (heavy rain, fog, backroads, etc).

If there is enough demand, there is always a possibility. With that said anything right now will need to be a custom application if you wish to add something to that location. Or possibly even going with our grill mount light bar.

    Hey,

We do not offer behind-the-grill brackets for the Gen 2 Tacoma. There is a handful of companies who do but they are for a light bar. Custom mounts will probably be the route to go.

Thanks for the reply. After searching around some more I found that SDHQ offers a mount for behind the lower grill. I ordered up their mount and a set of Squadron Sport wide cornering lights.

With that said, I see the Squadron sports are rated at 2.2 amps. Can I wire both (4.4 amps) to the 5 amp 4th gen Tacoma Aux switch or should I play it safe and wire them to the 10 amp Aux switch?

If you are waiting specifically for 70-2013 S8 20-inch D/C amber, then the current wait time is 2-3 weeks out. I can always place an order for a 20-inch that is in stock and add the lens on the side for you. All you will need to do is swap it out. Please feel free if this sounds like something you wish to do.

We do not sell a conversion kit. Only kits for cars with existing fog lights. If you wish to add our light solution you will need to buy the OEM plastics in order to make it work. The vehicle most likely doesn't come with fog wiring so it will need a harness that connects to the battery.
