Kissed on the highway

Got into a hit n run on the highway, I pulled over, they kept going! Happened right at a bridge between 2 states, so it's been a PITA trying to report it today. I immediately pulled over, they kept going! I got back on to the highway to see if they stopped on the other side of the bridge, but they were gone. one state came out, found out it happened right over the bridge, reached out to the police there and said I have to go speak with the bridge authority. Bridge authority sent me to local PD as it happened right outside of their "property". Nothing too bad at least, so far about 500 in parts, will need to get that panel fixed and painted though.

 

Was it 4 lane traffic. Can't figure out how you got hit on right side lower rear.

 

3 lane highway- I was in the protected left lane. Protection barrier for the left lane ends at the same time as the right 2 lanes become one. Black SUV tried outrunning a merging semi while in the middle lane, the semi was merging from the right lane, the black SUV merged into my rear. I pulled over as soon as I passed the semi.

I can never understand the hit-and-run mental state. We have it happening out in Phoenix almost daily.
We have people running down and killing people and they don't think twice about stopping.

Beats all I ever seen. People just don't care anymore.

 

AZ also has tons of out state plates and out of country plates on the road (Mexico). It doesn't help that people drive 90+ when the speed limit is 65 and there's tons of road construction going on.

 

I'd turn it in on insurance and go on with life.

Couple that with drunk driving, dope-driving, and not enough cops on the road and well that's what you get.

 

Rear ended when i was waiting on red light, by 30-40MPH minivan. Cost 6K repairs, they replaced the hitch bumper, fender and tailgate. Check the tailgate see if it aligns, and in body shop ask for OEM parts as much as possible.

 

Maybe they'd wrecked on the bridge before and knew what a pain in the ass the report was gonna be.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

People are jerks. Someone hit my bumper and tail light overnight in front of my house. Worse part is no one had cameras.
