It is only HD radio. Apple Music, Satellite radio, iHeart radio are fine. Music from my phone is fine. It is only HD radio and just started this issue today. Never had the issue for weeks and 900 miles of driving. They opened a TAS for it tonight.

There are separate sound (EQ settings) for each audio output. Every output Amazon music, AA or carplay, Radio, Apple music, BT music, USB drive are set to default mid-range and each one will need to be set up. If you have not done this for our FM radio, then this would give you a fair dull output from your sound system.

Yes, I had previously went into the sound settings on the head unit in the Tacoma and made the changes. It was fine for the first 2 weeks. It literally stopped working yesterday afternoon with no changes made by me. I suspect a software glitch or a hardware failure such as the HD antenna. My head unit has glitched a couple of times and just went black and I have to change apps/views to get it to work again. I wonder if that is another symptom and I should bring that up with Toyota too?

How do you FM stations appear on the screen? If the HD antenna were to fail, I do not think you would have the station logos, genre and content listed on the screen.

BTW you know what annoys me on the Gen 4. You have HD radio, but they do not add in the weather radar map. WTF Toyota??

Yes. I can see the stations and HD indicator is on too. I am at the shop now. They are trying another radio from a rental to see if that works. If so they will have to order a new unit for me.

Latest update from the dealer is that they have to order a shark fin antenna and replace that to see if that fixes the issue if not, they’re going to order a new radio

Dude on Autotrader is trying to sell his 2024 TRD Pro for $70k. I messaged him to ask if it’s supercharged since it’s $10k over what most Pros are asking.

I guess the last few 5th Gen 4Runners were made of gold. :D

Realistically speaking, some folks are willing to pay a slight premium for a low miles vehicle that is the last of a generation. It’s basically why I bought it. But I got a huge discount because they had not thought through supply and demand correctly.

The same thing happened when I bought my new 2019 Corvette Grandsport. They were clearing inventory to make room for the coming C8 generation so I got nearly 20% off sticker. COVID hit and fucked everything up. Nearly four years later I sold that vette for more than I paid for it.

So I’ve got a new noise coming from what sounds like the passenger front wheel area. It showed up randomly about a month ago and the best I can describe it is it sounds like rocks in the tire or very quiet bones cracking. A month ago I pulled a few pebbles out and the noise went away. Well yesterday it’s back and I don’t see any rocks in the tread this time. Only audible between 0-5 mph. I’m gonna see if I can have a buddy record the sound. If it’s still there off to the dealer

The tire tread. These stock bfg’s sure love grabbing rocks. The noise itself is quiet I only noticed because I had the radio off.

Solution: Don’t drive on gravel. :D

I don’t notice this much with mine, but I’m usually only on pavement or dirt.

Maybe folks with the KO2 or KO3 can chime in if they have gravel keepers or slingers.

Anyone have problem with the Toyota app constantly logging out on iPhone? Need to log in constantly to remote start.
    Happens every day.

Android here, but app logs out multiple times per day. Not terrible, but certainly a PITA.

I really regret selling my corvette, no matter how much I got for it. Wish I would have kept it.

I don't see how the antenna is even a plausible cause for the issue you describe.
