hahaha same. Toss up between what's more annoying - the fake engine noise or the seatbelt chimes...

Who has disabled the auto parking brake on their 4th gen? Are there any pros/cons to having it on or off? I have a pretty steep driveway that I often have to park in the slope of, and sometimes after parking (with the auto parking brake on) I can hear it "squeak" once, I'm assuming as the parking brakes settle, as I walk away from the truck. It doesn't move or anything, but I also don't want to wear them out or damage the park pawl in the transmission - anyone have any insight?

Disabled mine. I think it’s pretty annoying and unnecessary for me parking on flat ground. Also they have a tendency to stick in cold weather. The few times I need it I just pull up on the button to apply it.

since its electronic and controlled basically by motors on the back rotors, do you worry about it seizing up at all from not enough use? I'll be honest, my truck is an automatic (previous 3rd gen was 6MT), and if I disable the auto parking brake, I am likely not going to ever cycle it/use it...

I know the answer to my question is somewhere in the forum but since you brought up the topic, do you have a part number for those lights? Im assuming you they come a new set of the black plastic rails with the cuts for the lights?

Auto parking brake was disabled by default on my truck. I turned on the Auto PB as I park on incline a lot. I have had auto electric PB on a RAV4 Prime for 5 years and it has never once froze after driving in winter weather or after being parked in sub-zero temps.

I like it, since I have the booster on the amp and a CAI I took off the enhanced engine sounds and the noise cancelation which takes a little umph out of it but ultimately It's nice to hear the engine as it is without interfering with the sound system.

Here ya go. Very visually appealing, very hard to tell just by looking at them that they're not real metal. Knock on them with your knuckle and they sound very solid. I only noticed cuz I reached in behind it when cleaning the rims and felt the flex.

Yea, those aren't Toyota wheels. This is something SET bought for your XP appearance package.

Yep, high on appearance, questionable on performance. TBH, I don't see myself raging down desert washboard. My plan is to drive them until they look too ugly or fail in some other way and then replace them. I don't have the coin right now to blow $1200 on new rims...though I am in the market looking for a good tonneau cover.

I put a cheap Tiger soft tri fold on, $200 shipped. Super easy and quick to put on and take off. Looks good and does what I need it to do.

Might want to check the OEDRO tri fold……….not quite the paper thin profile of the Toyota OEM, but half the price……

I was lucky, it fit from my totaled 3rd gen perfectly……..

I use it all the time and like it. I also used the hand brake on my previous gen. I prefer the parking brake on to take the stress off the transmission, something I've always done with my vehicles.

That look fantastic, I want to see more pictures!!! Especially of the inside. The companies that sell these really dont advertise them well enough.

EDIT: use code "TRDMORO" for 10% off sitewide!

i've been running the ICS Fab dash mount for the last few months and it's been really solid.

the 2 hole amps ball mounts with 3" arms on either side are the best mounting points to keep a phone/radio/mic tucked in without obstructing view, rather than mounting on top of the already big screen. (which surprisingly a lot of other dash mounts miss)

2024 Toyota Tacoma Dash Mount | ICS FAB - (8" screen mount available in a few days)

Do you have a picture of this mounted on your truck instead of the stock images?
