Back in my boat racing days, it was somewhat common for motors (outboards) to ingest water. Yamato engines have a weak spot (or spots) designed into the head gasket to prevent worse damage. The dewatering procedure was as is described above- remove spark plugs and pull the engine over several times, replace plugs, and fire it up. Best to get the water out and get it running ASAP after a dunking.

Is it me, or does the Driver front wheel look like it's turned 90 degrees in the pond..?

I'd contact an auto shipper and send it home, deal with local shops. They move non-runners. Don't know your distance, but 9 hrs sounds like maybe $500 to $1000 to get it home. Montway shows $0.91/mile, but more as a non-runner.

If you are going to get it towed ask them when/how they want to be paid. I had a 04 DC towed from west texas to San Diego and they demanded cash on the spot or they were going to take the truck. I showed them where the contract said a credit card was accepted but they stuck to their story.

it was turned full left , but no steering components were bent upon getting it out of the ditch.
I was able to steer it when getting yanked out , straightened it up for the big pull.
Gonna call the shops and get info on auto shippers tomorrow or get a line on a dolly that will work since it’s a stick, or rent a full size car trailer.
We gonna get this sucker home in the next few days or early next week to assess. Thanks fellas!

Truck is here. The dang truck driver got it started! No brakes but drove it in to my driveway. he jammed a needle nose in between neg post and inside of ring terminal, killed the engine, and it wouldn’t start for a bit. I started playing with it, got it started again by playing with wires on battery. Started running the heater full bore , then heater quit blowing. Air conditioning light still was on just no fan blowing.
Engine sounded good no knocks , killed it again and again it was giving me fits . Played with the wires again and heard and felt something change while messing around, went in turned key fired right up. Now just trying to figure out what I was bumping to get it to fire up cuz I’ve been trying and can’t get it to fire.
Sprayed deoxit in the obd2. Pics to follow up soon . Kinda rainy today but so excited that it runs ! The shop left me with “we can’t get it to fire” …imagine my surprise when the truck driver who dropped it off fired it right up.
Gonna test the battery when I go back out.

I have airbag light on, empty brake fluid reservoir, heater core not blowing, some sort of intermittent battery cable or some silly thing keeping it from firing up each time

Just got it going again by moving electrical parts around near battery and fuse box, heard an electrical hum and knew something had changed immediately.

Heater is working again. My scan gauge plugged into obd2 port isn’t reading anything. That’s strange . It was connecting initially. But dead screen now. And now heater stopped running

Obd2 has some gremlin. Won’t connect.
Heater initially runs then stops. Flipping it to on position makes the engine ramp up a bit but still doesn’t blow air.

Igniter and air filter was the only parts replaced at this time.
They pulled plugs and cranked to get any water out, found no spark so replaced igniter module which makes since, it was underwater for 12 hours. Got spark but couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t firing up with spark, and gave up.
That’s where we’re at. I’m wondering if the obd2 port not sending info to my scangauge is pointing at an ecu issue. Any thoughts? I’ve got it firing up every time now but if I bump around in there I’m sure I’ll knock it back to where it’s cranking but not firing.

Did not replace gas, but the tank was never under water I don’t believe.
