I have a 2024 Off Road with the JBL premium sound system. To any one who has replaced the front door and the dash speakers, can you give me information on how many OHM's they are rated at?Is it true that the dash speakers are 3 1/2'' and the front door speakers are a true 6''x9''? And if you did replace them, what did you replace them with.Right now I have a Beat Sonic Amp installed, which made a big improvement.Want to keep it simple and clean by possibly installing sound deadening to the front doors and maybe replace front door speakers and dash speakers.Going to leave the rears alone.System sounds pretty damn good as it is but very curious about speaker up grades.Any input would be appreciated

Yes the dash speakers are 3 1/2. Yes the front door speakers are 6 by 9 and rear door are 6”.. pretty sure they are 2 ohms but not positive. I ripped all the speakers out and replaced them with Focal units in all positions.. new amp is a Audio Dynamics MK1000.6 with a Audio Dynamics DSP812-hifi unit..system sounds amazing..couldn’t stand to have a shitty sounding system in my 65k truck

leave it alone, improvement in changing speakers is minimal...
gain on one end of the spectrum but gain on the other....
wont sounds as full & rich...

The BS is not designed to push better speakers....

Well, you have me thinking that way.It does sound pretty damn good since I added the Beat Sonic.Maybe I'll stick with the plan of adding some sound deadening to the doors and see what kind of improvement that makes. What do you think?

I have JBL system. The Beatsonic and Kicker 6 3/4" coaxial speakers in the 4 doors woke up the system. Very good overall sound now The factory 2 ohm single cone speakers in the doors just had no range and made the dash speakers primary location where your mids and highs came from. Very bland sound for factory JBL!!

Now I am hoping someone creates a replacement sub and sub box for the factory location. I'd be happy with a 250 amp, just to add a little more bass. The factory sub setup is a waste of space and money.

Sad Toyota still can’t put a good stereo in even after the ridiculous price hike .to answer your question 4ohms … u can run 2 ohms … the less ohms means it draws more power from the radio . But I wouldn’t run all of them at 2 ohms . I did just my 2 front speakers to give more sound. Left the others at 4ohm .mine is the none jbl unit on the 3rd gen .

thats how individual component speakers work & make-up a quality well performing system.....
woofer driver in the doors, mids in the dash, tweeter in the a pillar, separation.....
A sound stage image, depth, dsp imaging, is produced with separation...
You installed a full range speaker & tweeter all in one in the door without a crossover, yes may be louder, but I wouldn't say better quality in regards to a trained ear "audiophile" stand-point...

Those crappy jbl speakers in the door actually produce rich full bass, theyre just lacking real power to wake them up & who knows how long they can handle real power......
Theyre designed to be light & small magnets to be efficient with the sad power theyre given...
Beat Sonic isn't real legit power, its just a pre-amp.....

The money you guys are paying for the beat sonic is very significant & you can get a full size legit amp to run the entire system with a full size subwoofer for about the same price.......

Yah,you're probably right but I just really didn't want to go real crazy on the system. The Beat Sonic was a very simple upgrade to the system, plug and play.It does sound quite good

I am not an audiophile, but like good sound.

The Beatsonic is outputting 45 per channel @ 4 ohms not 20 per channel @ 2 ohms like stock which will help and the digital signal processing produces far better sound quality than stock output. Certainly not the level of an Audio Control or JL Audio, but decent. Now for $600 for Beatsonic and speakers and sound deadening it is a completely different sound system and did not cut into one wire in the harness. Better than spending 3K-5K on a sound system. I did that on my last truck (Alpine DVD headunit, 4 channel amp, 7 Infinity reference speakers, 500 watt single channel with Alpine Type "R" sub) which cost over $5000 then. The sound I am getting out of the Tacoma is really good in comparison to the $5000 system with the exception of the sub. I personally will never spend that kind of money again.

If someone does not have a ton of money, this is a good route to get a much higher quality of sound.

Enjoy your sound system, you put a lot into it. No need to tell some that what they have is not good. Most people do not have a trained Audiophile ear and do not care.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I didn’t think the beat sonic had any sound processing.

    I’m thinking I may go this route…
I have a 2 channel Audio Dynamics Amp and 2-10inch Mobile Audio subs that only require .75 cubic ft sealed. The challenge is I’m not giving up the under seat storage! The 3T3 has 5 more watts per channel and has RCA outputs making it easy to add subs. I do have the JBL and they say it’s compatible.
