Does the large screen version have 1/4-20 threaded holes as stated in the description? I don't see them in the pictures

UPDATE - The big screens do not have 1/4-20 holes because of the incline on them. The small screen is flat allowing for space and an even surface, but the big screen has a big angle on it which does not allow for more 1/4-20 holes for mounting!

Curious, going through the website pictures, I see the 1/4-20 holes on the small screen version but not on the larger screen version. Is that a prototype large screen model on the website and the production run does incorporate the 1/4-20 holes?

I'll let ya know, I took a chance and just ordered mine, have to get my radio head units under control.... Figure if I need the 1/4-20 holes, which would be nice from the OEM, I would just have my machine shop guys add some for me... bonus is that I am just up the road from them so I should have it fairly quickly I would think.

I ordered my large screen today. This mount looks fantastic. I like the way it fits behind the screen and the sliding top track for accessories..

For those who ordered, let us know how sturdy the mount is with phone, tablet, GoPro, etc. mounted driving down the road.

    Cali Raised Team,

Please take a look at the attached photos.

Overall, I've been very excited to install the dash mount in my 24' tacoma (w/ 8" screen). I'll start by saying, thank you for putting forth the resources to create a new product for our trucks. I DO believe that your team's design is definitely my prefered look of those that I've seen developed. It carries an OEM appearance and is definitely very study once secured is place. That said I wanted to offer some observations from the install experience.

I cussed a lot on this one .... Overall, it took me over an hour to get these four bolts in. I believe this is a result of a few things: 1) subtle variability from truck to truck 2) Extremely limited tolerances within the metal plate itself to better align fasteners, and 3) I believe tapper head fasteners should be provided similar to those removed from the vehicle. Throughout the install it was extremely hard to tell if the limited tolerances were causing the screws to bind or if I was beginning to cross thread the fasteners. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy with how much the screen is being pushed out at the top of the head unit. Simply put, it just doesn't fit right.

Like I mentioned above; however, thank you for putting the engineering and resources behind a solid design attend. As a "2.0" version becomes available I'd love the opportunity to try the next batch of fabrication that offers more flexibility with the varying fit and finishes from one vehilcle to another.

Thanks for the feedback, it is always great to hear!

I will make sure to show this to the engineers and get their feedback regarding the fitment. This is not an issue we have yet encountered with the 4th Gen Tacomas so we want to get this figured out ASAP!

Yikes, that's rough. Hopefully they figure out what's going on and get that fixed for you.

Finaly got my CaliRaised dash mount in and I will say, it's a pretty impressive part, this is not a piece of bent sheetmetal.

From out of the box to all four screws tightened down was just at 12 min total. Popping the original cover was a piece of cake. One you have that out of the way there are 4 10mm bolts that have to be taken out. I placed the mount in the dash and dropped all four of the supplied hex head screws in the holes. Found out quickly that my normal hex wrench set can reach the forward screws with ease but.... the back screws are much deeper to reach, and luckily, I was able to find an old hex driver in my toolbox that would work.

After getting everything installed the mount is rock solid although I do need to find a 20mm to 1 inch rod so I can get my radio head positioned a little better. Think as I play with the configuration I may pull this back out and Cerakote it to match the truck and add a little color.

So Pro's are: It's fast and easy to install, it's solid!,
Con's are: Small gaps around the front and side (not too big a deal for me). Website mentioned having some 1/4-20 holes available, but they are not there, see conversation above. Not sure I need them but, it would be nice to have the option. Needing a loong hex head to reach two of the screws which some people may not have handy (Hey Caliraised you might want to consider dropping in a long hex wrench in with the hardware at some point).

Anyway, looking forward to getting my radios and gear situated and out of the way and will be checking to see if there is anything else I need for my truck from the Caliraised website.

    Cheers!
    Jolly
