    Hello,

Time to put fresh tires on. Looking for recommendations!

Model is 2001 V6 Prerunner Tacoma.

    Use case below:
-Daily Driver/about 1hr per day commuting.
-Very rarely, occasional offroad. Nothing heavy, just fireroad/gravel/sandy path to campsite.
-I also have a small popup trailer I pull to camp occasionally. We will drive about 4-6 hours with the trailer to campsites.

Thank you for your time and your recommendations : )

I run and prefer Michelin Defender LTX M/S for longevity. I am currently on my third set. The previous 2 sets lasted approximately100k miles each time (with proper alignment and semi regular rotation).

Sounds like good weather as well?

Michelin Defender mentioned above is pretty popular for a daily.

Out of dozens of tires I’ve ran, Defender LTX are the best multi purpose tire I’ve found. They do great on the road and highway in wet/dry/icy conditions and can handle dirt/gravel without flinching.

Had em on my tow rig and dragged a 40 ft gooseneck around in a week long snowstorm without hesitation

Michelin may be preferred, but to me they have an unsettling markup on pretty much every tire they offer. You can always find an alternative with same performance for like 20-30% cheaper

The defender comes in passenger and truck variety. I always go with the truck tire - 31X10.50R15. It's a little heavier, but the tread is deeper and comes with a C load rating. I also get at least 100K miles per set, which makes up for the higher price of a Michelin.

Also Michelin on my 5 lug.

It's worth a 1 yr Costco membership to get them when on sale, along with free dismount, mount, balance lifetime free rotation and balance and a solid road hazard warranty
