Liberty Collision in Sparks is really good. They did good work on my last truck so when someone from California hit my Tacoma 2 weeks after I bought it I took it to then and they did great work on it too.

Qualify yes. Get accepted is different story. Priority goes AF Academy, ROTC, already Enlisted applying for OTS, and then Civilian. Gonna start that application process because Enlisting doesn't make logical sense, but starting as Officer vs my career I have lined up is a toss up, and I'd be more excited to join the air force. There's a lot of cool stuff goin on there. .mil benefits sounds nice too

Hell Yeah, go for it. Talk to all the recruiters and weigh your options. You already have your degree so bypass the enlisted option and see what they can give you. You're bringing something to the table, see what they can offer you.

I hope this does not sound ridiculous to those more familiar with the state of the military today, but ... Space Force? I know that it gets little press coverage compared to AirForce/Marines/Navy/Army ... but is there some advantage to the "smaller pond" of Space Force?

I am prepared for any "reality check" people want to present ...

What I was told by same recruiter is those are heavily contested spots mostly given to people with comp sci/advanced engineering degrees, cyber certifications etc.

I would love that too. Office job more likely to not catch a bullet or be put in the Middle East. Although will be equally tough to get into through same process of applying for OTS.

Thanks for that information. Makes sense that "heavily contested" applies.

@skidooman I saw that post and thought it would be the perfect first car for the kids...but they aren't driving for another 7/8 years

I thought the same thing... I've got two people coming to look at it, both for their kids. It's a decent little car, I took it to Montana a few years ago. The 6mt makes it tolerable to drive for someone who likes to drive, the 30+ mpg was nice and the awd was fantastic in the snow.

Only downside for a first car is that it's in great shape and not a beat up car with 200k miles and dents on all the body panels.

For sure. My first was a 12 year old Toyota pickup with 186k on it.

driving this after the Tacoma or bmw feels very easy and relaxing. So easy, so smooth. Love almost everything about it.. except for the fact that it’s a little slow for me..

Those gen WRX's are pretty damn cheap now if you want to gamble with "did the previous owner tune this shit and do zero maintenance then put it back to stock"

If I was wanting to sell the Taco I'd consider that for cheap AWD fun second car. I think I'd do nothing drivetrain related honestly. Dial the suspension, shorty shifter and call it a day.

The 1-2 rev hang makes me feel stupid everytime I drive one though
