I’ve bolted some stuff to it *lists cool stuff here*
I agree there should be a fix.. seems will but nothing has lost torque since being installed and driven a bit?

I’m still waiting for my suspension kit to show up I ended up going the Eibach route to try out and may end up doing the clam bushing while I’m in there all at one time I had the peak suspension spacer that I removed this past weekend…

Going to check that this weekend. But I doubt it. It started doing it right after the kit was installed.

Funny thing is. It hasn't done it since I got back from offroading in big bear.

Stock Tailhunter with stiffer rear springs. Gets the job done. Just was always suspicious of said company's slick marketing.

    Hello fellow Taco dudes.

I wanted to update you guys on the Icon diff drop situation. First off I want to say that Icon is horrible for what I'm about to post. I messaged them almost 1 month ago and I barely got a response this morning. Note. That their response is not in the instructions which I will post also.

Without further ado: feast your eyes on the most Bullshit answer I've ever received from a so called Engineering company !

I appreciate these reminders of why I'm not going to lift my truck. They pop up at least once a week.

I will concur with the un-needed diff drop. I had my Icon Stage three installed on Monday with the diff-drop brackets. As soon as I hit the road once completed, I immediately had vibration and noise. I got to thinking and when I installed my ADS lift on my '19 it did not come with a diff-drop kit. It was the only thing that was different between the two lifts. I decided to look into others experiences. I opened good old TW and bam this thread was right at the top lol. I got home today and pulled the diff-drop kit out and here we are zero vibration and zero noise. However I will eventually install the ECGS bushing just for peace of mind.

Im so glad I posted this.

A little info: I drove my truck 1 mile after installing it and upon asking my wife if she could here the noise she said I was crazy. I literally turned around and we left my truck at our home and drove her car to our destination (she thought I was crazy ) Later that evening I spent it taking this peace of shit kit off and emailed Icon my experience ( I took them a whole month to respond, if you ask why I didnt call, well.... they didnt answer the phone). I took it off and put it back on to make sure I had followed all the instructions to the T and it still made the noise. I then took it fully off and put it back to stock and cursed the living shit out of this so called " engineering company " "Not!!"

I also think it's important to add that I have built multiple vintage mopar street beasts aka race cars of back in the 60s. Im well aware of what a normal mechanical sound is and what is not, for the record

Sidenote: we had a weekend planned in big bear where we were going to do some pretty difficult offroading so I'm assuming this kit would have totally fucked my brand new truck.

All in all. I am glad I could help a fellow taco member not possibly blow their 4x4 system

I had my Icon stage 3 finished today installed by a local shop, like yours mine had vibration and noise so I made the owner drive it to confirm what I had pointed out. He told me it was the needle bearing and the ecsg bushing would fix it but it’s got me wondering if it could be the diff drop kit. I’m debating on taking it back to have them take it off and I’ll just go ahead and do the bushing at the same time. Are the diff drop kits unnecessary in your opinion?

After measuring with and without the diff-drop, it was only a 1/4 inch difference. I am no expert so my opinion is, removing it eliminated an issue of vibration so it is unnecessary. I have driven on highway about 500 miles since removing it and maybe 30 miles of dirt roads nothing crazy. I am also eventually going to install the ECGS conversion.

The needle bearing (my experience) was pretty faint, little to no noise, but definitely noticeable in the steering wheel and shift knob, at speeds above about 40 mph and in 2H, it would clearly go away in 4H. I would have them take the diff drop off first to see if it makes a difference. It’s probably a 45 minute job. ECGS is about 2-3 hours.
