No province in Canada issues titles for vehicles, regardless of the year, correct?

 

We have to google what a title is, you either own it outright, or "own" it with a lein (lender)

There's no piece of paper saying its yours. You just register it in your name and you're good.

Another reason to not like new vehicles…

This is the gauge cluster in a 2023 Wagoneer; I thought it was at least two quarts low on oil, and when I told my supervisor, I found out that a Wagoneer has no traditional dipstick, and that the oil level is measured electronically. This particular Wagoneer had apparently just gotten an oil change, and I was told that the oil level monitoring system in theee vehicles is known to be inaccurate immediately following an oil change…

What could go wrong?

When I rented from Enterprise in 21 I had a Malibu from Colorado and a Frontier from Georgia. Got a laugh when meeting someone in the Frontier for a Craigslist transaction and told him "Black Nissan Frontier, guaranteed only one with a Georgia plate"..he laughed and asked if I'd make it back from GA in time to meet him.

Stupidity to the max, then watch them deny a claim if the engine barfs or something. Plus how will you know if that system croaks

Also, look up the 2.7L V6 oil starvation scandal. That's another example of what scumbags they are at Chrysler...

That Jeep has been taken to the dealership; I’m thinking that at less than 30K miles, it will be covered under warranty, but I still don’t like new Jeeps!

As I’ve said before, we get lots of vehicles with out-of-state plates at this branch, and even some from Canada; I believe that I was a victim of license plate profiling on Tuesday, while returning from dropping off a coworker at a body shop past Plumsteadville.

I was driving a red 2023 Honda Odyssey with an Arizona plate, driving through Plumsteadville on my way back to the Doylestown branch. Out of nowhere, an unmarked black F150 came out of nowhere and started riding my ass; I could tell it was a cop because the truck had a push bar and LED flashers.

I was going maybe 2 or 3 MPH over the posted speed limit of 45, and in Pennsylvania only a conviction of 6 MPH or more will result in points; 5 MPH over is what people get their speeding tickets reduced to when they go to court. I have done this, successfully, twice in my life…



I honestly thought that I was going to be pulled over, assuming that maybe there was something wrong with the van that I didn’t know about, like a brake light not working or expired registration. My supervisor has confirmed that tickets for non-moving violations will be taken care of by Enterprise, but it’s still fucking annoying!



I ended up not getting pulled over, but whole situation freaked me out. For those of you who do not remember, I was stopping for “speeding and swerving” at like 1am in August 2023 while driving home after seeing a movie with Amanda. An unmarked green Dodge Charger that looked absolutely nothing like a cop car came out of nowhere and started riding my ass. The “speeding”, I believe, was when I floored it to get away from what I believed was an impatient tailgater. I did not get a ticket, but I still freak out when a vehicle that could be a cop car (Charger, Durango, Explorer, F150, etc) gets behind me at night!
