And almost a happy new year! Hopefully these next few years will improve in some regards.

    Any 22r Gurus?

buddy in SD has had his 85 pickup parked for about a year - he was stuck somewhere and called a tow and they tried to jump the car and reversed the cables and fried something.

He's been trying to diagnose it but hasn't figured it out.

Your buddy likely fried the “fuseable link”, check the lead from the positive terminal and trace it back to the 80A fuseable link($15 part and easily changed out). That 80A is the sacrificial “link” for this exact scenario, over Amps and voltage issues. Should be a easy fix.

Yeah Chevy used to do that and the link was a little section of wire carefully hidden from view, kinda like a joke to anyone who kills one. On those it was a thick purple wire IIRC (Chevy)

I think the Toyota F/L is a single eyelet on one side and 2 wires coming from that, found a pic, might help...

I'll second Street Trenz. Eric did a bunch of stuff on my F250 and was a pleasure to work with.

    Whats up everyone!
The moisture is here, sorta... Just wet enough with a heavy drizzle that working isnt ideal, nor is welding, I probably have way too much resistance for my welder to use me as the ground circuit, and I would rather not find out the hard way, is it amps or watts that kill!? Hint-YES

I can hold your beer. What you need? Tools, a driveway? I may be available, depending on the date. I see you have a Prerunner. That should be a lot easier than on a 4x4.
Note: I’m planning on replacing mine in April.

I'll need all the above and some guidance lol. Never replaced one before.

Ya 2wd. I'll need to replace it sooner than April though. It's starting to grind a bit. I still need to buy a pressed assembly first.

You up for a driveway rookie install? :D
